President Donald Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., is known for his edgy humor on social media, and has often drawn fire from his father's critics for being over the line. Not that he's worried about that.

According to the Daily Mail, Trump Jr. sparked headlines this week after he made a parody social media post referencing the latest disturbing trend plaguing the WNBA, which involves fans throwing sex toys onto the court during the game.

The first incident of one of the object being thrown at a WNBA game happened on July 29, and it ultimately resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old Georgia man named Delbert Carver.

However, since then, the bizarre trend continues to take place at WNBA games across the country.

What did he say?

Using his Instagram account, where Trump Jr. usually posts his memes and other edgy content, the president's son posted an image of his father throwing one of the aforementioned objects onto a photoshopped WNBA court with players on it.

The meme was not only referencing the objects being thrown at WNBA games, but it was also a reference to the recent surprise visit to the White House roof by the president.

The Daily Mail noted:

On Thursday, another dildo was thrown onto a WBNA court during a game between the Atlanta Dream and the Chicago Sky.

Meanwhile, Don Jr.'s post got more than 86,000 likes and was mostly well received by his followers, pleased that he was apparently upsetting Democrats.

There appears to be a reason for the objects being thrown onto the court at WNBA games, and it's reportedly an effort to promote a certain memecoin — a type of cryptocurrency.

The Daily Mail noted:

The meme from Don Jr. came after cryptocurrency traders took responsibility for the green dildos being thrown on courts in the middle of WNBA games.

@Daldo_Rain, a spokesman for the cryptocurrency enthusiasts, and currently has more planned for the future. According to the anonymous spokesman, the pranks were done to promote their meme coin, Green Dildo Coin (DILDO).

It's not clear if every single incident of the thrown objects is related to the promotion of the memecoin.

Social media reacts

Plenty of social media users reacted to Trump Jr.'s Instagram post. Many were not happy with it.

"Wait aren’t you guys the ones trying to 'save women’s sports'?? Degrading the women of the NBA is certainly the opposite of the stated goal above," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Imagine if Hunter did that."

Only time will tell what Trump Jr. comes up with next.
