J.D. Vance 'absolutely' wants to see Obama officials indicted over Trump-Russia
Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard announced last month that high-ranking members of the Obama administration "manufactured and politicized intelligence" to falsely accuse President Donald Trump of colluding with Russia.
That fact was highlighted this past weekend by Vice President J.D. Vance, who is hoping to see them indicted.
Vance: "I absolutely want to see indictments"
According to Breitbart, the vice president's remarks came on during an interview with "Sunday Morning Futures" host Maria Bartiromo.
"I absolutely want to see indictments, Maria. Look, of course, you’ve got to have the law follow the facts here. You don’t just indict people to indict people. You indict people because they broke the law," Vance said.

"But if you look at what Tulsi and Kash Patel have revealed in the last couple of weeks, I don’t know how anybody can look at that and say that there wasn’t aggressive violations of the law," he told Bartiromo.
"I absolutely think they broke the law. You’re gonna see a lot of people get indicted for that. Here’s the thing that should really bother the American people," Vance continued.
Gabbard summarized findings in a press release
"What do you want our intelligence community to be doing? I want them to be catching bad guys. I want to be making sure that terrorists aren’t gonna kill innocent American civilians," he declared.
"I don’t want them laundering Hillary Clinton’s campaign talking points into the American media and giving them this air of legitimacy. It is sick and it’s disgusting," the vice president went on to add.
The director of National Intelligence summarized her findings in a press release which was put out by her office on July 18.
It asserted that the "Intelligence Community (IC) consistently assessed that Russia is 'probably not trying … to influence the election by using cyber means.'"
"On December 7, 2016, after the election, talking points were prepared for DNI James Clapper stating, 'Foreign adversaries did not use cyberattacks on election infrastructure to alter the US Presidential election outcome,'" it explained.
Press release names a number of Obama administration figures
Nevertheless, "On December 9, 2016, President Obama’s White House gathered top National Security Council Principals for a meeting...to discuss Russia."
"After the meeting, DNI Clapper’s Executive Assistant sent an email to IC leaders tasking them with creating a new IC assessment 'per the President’s request' that details the 'tools Moscow used and actions it took to influence the 2016 election,'" it stated.
The press named a number of figures, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former CIA Director John Brennan, former DNI James Clapper, former United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice, former Secretary of State John Kerry, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.
