The office of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is hiring prosecutors.

The Daily Caller reports that the office indicated as much in a post that it published on LinkedIn.

It is a bit unusual that a district attorney's office has to actively seek out prosecutors like this. The office, though, clearly has not been the same after the various scandals surrounding Willis - not to mention her dubious attempt to prosecute President Donald Trump.

"We're hiring!"

Willis published the LinkedIn message, seeking employee resumes, early this month.

She wrote:

We're hiring Assistant District Attorneys! If you're a passionate prosecutor ready to serve the people of Fulton County with integrity and excellence, we want to hear from you.

It would be surprising to learn that any attorney with "integrity and excellence" would be interested in the job, considering what Willis has been up to in recent years.

We'll have to see if Willis's office has any takers for the job.

In the meantime, let's briefly recall Willis' recent history - including her history will lover Nathan Wade.

Background

Willis was one of those Democratic prosecutors who attempted to weaponize the legal system against then-candidate Trump in an effort to prevent him from becoming president in the 2024 presidential election. Willis managed to get a grand jury to bring several charges against Trump in relation to the 2020 presidential election. You are probably familiar with Trump's mugshot, which he ended up using for some lucrative fundraising.

The case, though, quickly fell apart, given several scandals that Willis found herself at the center of. The most notable one, of course, involved Attorney Nathan Wade, the man she hired to lead the prosecution against Trump. The only problem was that she and Wade were lovers, to the extent that he took her on romantic getaways using the funds she paid him.

Willis and Wade claimed innocence, but eventually they both got thrown off the case.

Since then, Willis has managed to land herself in even more controversy. The Daily Caller reports:

Willis accused multiple Fulton County commissioners of lying during an interview with Capital B Atlanta magazine over a funding dispute that Willis claims created a backlog of cases that has left over 100 people in the Fulton County jail for over 90 days without a formal indictment. Willis asked the commissioners for a $7 million budget increase, but was provided far less.

The craziest part of all of this, of course, is that Willis is still the district attorney.
