Artificial Intelligence (AI) is integrating into our daily lives at a rapid pace, and it will undoubtedly shape the way we live our lives as it becomes more commonplace.

According to the Daily Mail, First Lady Melania Trump recently used her platform to warn tech leaders and parents about the emerging technology and how it affects children, including the potential dangers it poses as it becomes common in our day-to-day lives.

The first lady held a conference at the White House this week on the subject as part of the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education.

She said that "as leaders and parents, we must manage AI's growth responsibly during this community stage."

What's going on?

Left-leaning media outlets harped on the fact that Melania Trump's conference warning about AI and its effects on our life, especially for children, came in the wake of President Donald Trump posting several videos using AI to take shots at his critics.

The Daily Mail noted:

The first lady gave her warning hours after the president posted what appeared to be an AI-generated video showing California Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff with a 'pencil neck' - the nickname given to him by Trump. Schiff has been a longtime rival of the president.

Trump had posted another AI-generated video showing California Gov. Gavin Newsom wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.

A number of the biggest tech leaders, especially in the AI industry, attended the first lady's conference on the subject.

The outlet added:

The East Room audience was flooded with tech bigwigs, including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who is in a well publicized feud with former Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk.

The first lady, earlier this year, launched the Presidential Artificial Intelligence Challenge, which encourages children to use AI for good, positive reasons.

Social media reacts

The first lady's supporters and fans applauded her for taking the lead on the issue, which will undoubtedly be onte of the most influential of the coming generations.

First ladies typically take the lead on issues that will impact youth in one form or another.

Melania Trump has mostly stayed behind the scenes, but it's nice to see her take the lead on something so important.
