First son Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump, recently began his sophomore year at New York University, but hasn't been spotted yet at the school's main campus in New York City.

That is because Barron is now reportedly living at the White House with his parents while attending classes at NYU's satellite campus in Washington, D.C., according to the New York Post.

The change in living arrangements could simply be so he can spend more time closer to his presidential father and mother, first lady Melania Trump, but there could also be a security element to the shift that is meant to keep him safe from obsessed fans, stalkers, and others who intend to do him harm.

Now living at the White House again

People magazine reported last week that while the fall semester had begun on NYU's Greenwich Village campus, the tall and recognizable Barron Trump, typically flanked by Secret Service agents, had not yet been spotted coming or going from classes at the Stern School of Business.

That was because he was attending classes elsewhere, according to one unnamed campus security official, who told the outlet, "From what I was told, he's doing a semester at another NYU campus."

The magazine's sources did not specify where Barron was currently attending classes, and it was noted that NYU has several other satellite campuses located across the country and around the globe, most notably including one in Washington, D.C.

The New York Post has confirmed through its sources that the first son is now residing at the White House once again while attending classes at NYU's D.C. campus.

That campus is reported as a relatively small learning center that hosts up to 120 students per semester, particularly those pursuing careers or degrees in fields like "politics, public policy, history, economics, and journalism."

Barron's business-focused summer break

During Barron Trump's first year at NYU, he largely resided at the family-owned Trump Tower, which is just a short commute away from NYU's Greenwich Village campus, where he was often spotted with his security detail by other students, faculty, and the paparazzi.

Over the summer break, according to People's sources, Barron spent his time traveling between various other family-owned properties while holding meetings and making plans for future business ventures.

"Barron has been actively working on his own financial interests and has spent time with others who he is involved with in that area," an unnamed social source claimed, though they noted that the president's youngest son also spent a "great deal of time" with his family over the past few months.

Does Barron have a romantic interest?

People noted that unconfirmed rumors have been swirling since May that Barron Trump had a girlfriend, which were bolstered by an anonymously sourced NewsNation report to that effect at that time.

"Barron has a really nice girlfriend and hangs out with her a lot. He does have friends, he just (unlike his father Donald Trump) screws the limelight," the source claimed, and added that the "apolitical" first son is "much more like his mother, Melania -- he keeps his head down and gets on with it. He is not trying to be BMOC (big man on campus)."

Yet, while Barron's alleged love life remains unconfirmed, one thing that is known, according to TheList, is that he has a reportedly "obsessed" superfan who manages a popular social media page dedicated to all things related to the president's son, with that fan being revealed to be a 19-year-old woman from Brazil who has harbored a crush on Barron for the past few years and drawn some scrutiny because of her obvious devotion.
