Eric Trump recounts multitude of attacks against President Trump, including efforts to cause a divorce with the first lady
Democrats, the bureaucratic "Deep State," and the media have spent the past decade trying to utterly destroy President Donald Trump, his family, and his family business -- thankfully, to no avail.
Eric Trump, the president's middle son, recently ran through a litany of all of the ways that his father's political enemies have attempted to ruin him, including efforts to undermine his marriage to first lady Melania Trump, according to the Daily Mail.
Indeed, in the view of Eric and others, it seems like several of the partisan attacks mounted against the Trumps over the years were specifically intended to drive a wedge between Donald and Melania and cause them to get divorced.
"Humorous" to hear Democrats complain
On Monday, Eric Trump appeared on Newsmax with host Rob Schmitt, who asked about the expressions of outrage from many Democrats and media pundits, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and CNN host Jake Tapper, in response to the federal criminal indictment of former FBI Director James Comey.
"You don't understand how humorous this is coming from Chuck Schumer and Jake Tapper," Trump told Schmitt. "I'm the subject of 112 subpoenas, never having done a damn thing wrong in my life. Never crossing a line, being a perfect role model, being a perfect model citizen. No laptops from hell, nothing."
"And they came after me like I was a dog," he continued. "They tried to impeach my father two times. They went after him for a Russia hoax that did not exist, that was paid for by Hillary Clinton. The FBI and the DOJ spied on my father's campaign. They de-platformed him."
"They weaponized every attorney general and every district attorney around the country. They indicted him 91 times, 34 times in a bogus trial in New York City," Trump said. "They posted his mugshot. He's the most recognizable person in the world. They posted his mugshot even though they didn't need to. It totally backfired on them."
Tried to destroy Trump's marriage to Melania
Eric Trump was nowhere near finished in recounting the many ways in which his father was besieged by Democrats and the "Deep State," as he told Schmitt, "They gagged him over and over and over again. They raided his home! They raided Mar-a-Lago! They tried to get him divorced! They tried to separate our family!"
According to the Daily Mail, an unnamed source close to the president's son observed that the "divorce" comment was likely in reference to the salacious sexual claims included in the debunked and unproven anti-Trump Steele dossier, which was paid for by the Clinton campaign and used by Comey's FBI as a basis for an investigation of Trump's 2016 campaign.
The source said, "When they talk about golden showers in their paid-for-fake-dossier, paid for by Hillary Clinton, you better believe their intent is to divide a marriage."
"I don't want to hear it from them"
Eric Trump still wasn't done in recounting the multitude of partisan assaults launched against his father and his family, as he said, "They tried to go after our employees! They attacked us. They tried to bankrupt our company. They de-platformed us! They stripped every bank account away from me and the Trump Organization that you can imagine."
Former Attorney General Merrick Garland "was at the forefront of all of it. Joe Biden was at the forefront of all of it when they raided our home, when they raided Mar-a-Lago, when they raided Melania's closet, when they raided 16-year-old Barron's room," he continued. "And I get to hear from Chuck Schumer that my father weaponized justice? You must be kidding me."
Trump went on to note that everything he'd mentioned was the premise of his new book, "Under Siege: My Family's Fight to Save Our Nation," which is set for release later this month, as he pointed out that, in addition to the lawfare, "Then they tried to kill my father. Not once, but twice. I don't want to hear it from them."
He later reiterated that it was only after President Trump had won his first election, created a nationwide movement, and proved that he was a "viable contender," that the worst of the fraudulent political attacks against the family were launched, and added, "I don't want to hear it from Chuck Schumer, and I certainly don't want to hear it from Jake Tapper."
