President Donald Trump shared an AI-generated deepfake earlier this week which featured Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) as well as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who was pictured in a sombrero.

While some of the president's supporters found his satire to be humorous, Democrats were left seething.

Jeffries condemns "xenophobic stereotype"

That's according to Breitbart, which pointed to remarks Jeffries made during a Wednesday appearance on CNN's "The Lead."

"It was a xenophobic stereotype, which is why we’ve heard from many Latino organizations denouncing what took place," Jeffries said of the video.

"But the broader issue, I’m not going to dwell on the president’s erratic behavior in terms of the meme or the A.I. deepfake videos, the broader problem is it’s deeply unserious, and this is a serious moment," he continued.

"We need to reopen the government. We need to enact a spending agreement that’s bipartisan, that actually meets the needs of the American people, and we need to address the Republican health care crisis," Jeffries added.

AI-generated Schumer: "We don't have any voters left"

In the video, Schumer was depicted as saying, "I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Nobody likes Democrats anymore. We don't have any voters left because of our woke trans bulls--t."

"Not even black people want to vote for us anymore. Even Latinos hate us, so we need new voters. And if we give all of these illegal aliens free healthcare, we might be able to get them on our side so they can vote for us," the audio continued.

"They can't even speak English so they won't realize we're just a bunch of woke pieces of s--t, you know?" the AI-generated Schumer declared before adding, "At least for a while until they learn English and they realize that they hate us too."

Genuine video shows Democrats railing against prior shutdown attempts

Trump is not the only one sharing videos, as House Speaker Mike Johnson recently posted a compilation of genuine clips in which Democrats could be seen speaking out against government shutdowns.

One clip from 2019 showed New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez saying, "It is not normal to shut down the government when we don’t get what we want."

Schumer was also shown railing against a potential shutdown in September of last year, stating, "If the government shuts down, it will be average Americans who suffer most."

Jeffries similarly cautioned against any attempt to shut down the government as well, declaring, "Families will be hurt. Farmers will be hurt."

" A free people [claim] their rights, as derived from the laws of nature."
