Trump says Israel has agreed to 'initial withdrawal line'
President Donald Trump just revealed that Israel has agreed to what he describes as the "initial withdrawal line" in Gaza.
In other words, President Trump could be on the verge of putting a stop to a conflict that has lasted for millennia.
Fox News reports that Trump provided an update on the situation over the weekend.

The latest update
On his social media account, Trump, over the weekend, released two messages on the Israel-Hamas conflict.
In the first, he wrote:
I appreciate that Israel has temporarily stopped the bombing in order to give the Hostage release and Peace Deal a chance to be completed. Hamas must move quickly, or else all bets will be off. I will not tolerate delay, which many think will happen, or any outcome where Gaza poses a threat again. Let’s get this done, FAST. Everyone will be treated fairly!
Then, several hours later, he posted a second message.
In this follow-up message, he revealed:
After negotiations, Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal line, which we have shown to, and shared with, Hamas. When Hamas confirms, the Ceasefire will be IMMEDIATELY effective, the Hostages and Prisoner Exchange will begin, and we will create the conditions for the next phase of withdrawal, which will bring us close to the end of this 3,000 YEAR CATASTROPHE.
Trump concluded by thanking viewers for their "attention to this matter," and he told everyone to "stay tuned."
Could this finally be the end?
There is no doubt that this is what many are hoping for - the end of a war that has seemingly gone on forever.
More details of the situation have been reported by the New York Post.
Per the outlet:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday night in Israel that he ordered his negotiators, led by Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, to travel to Egypt to finalize the technical details of the hostage release.’ “Our goal is to limit the negotiations to just a few days. Trump made it clear: We will not tolerate stalling tactics or evasions,” Netanyahu said. Under the plan’s first phase, Hamas would release hostages as Israeli troops redeploy while retaining control of “dominant areas deep inside the strip,” according to the Israeli prime minister. Hamas would be disarmed and Gaza demilitarized in the second phase — by diplomacy or force, Netanyahu added.
Netanyahu has made it clear that Trump is the reason why this is even possible.
Whether this will all succeed, though, will be up to Israel and Hamas.
