Clinton, other Dems praise President Trump for striking Israel, Hamas peace deal
President Donald Trump and his administration hammered out an amazing peace deal for Israel and Hamas that will ultimately bring their bloody, deadly two-year war to an end.
According to The Hill, a number of prominent Democrats have put their Trump Derangement Syndrom aside and praised the president for securing what many thought would be an impossible deal to make, including former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Former Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and Condoleezza Rice both praised Trump and his administration for the deal.
As it stands, the deal is in its first phase, which is part of a 20-point plan that will eventually bring the war to its conclusion.
What was said?
Clinton, during a CBS News special, made it clear that she she believes Trump and his administration deserve credit for striking the Middle East peace deal.
“It’s a really significant first step, and I really commend President Trump and his administration, as well as Arab leaders in the region, for making the commitment to the 20-point plan and seeing a path forward for what’s often called the day after," Clinton told the outlet.
She added, "Most importantly, the conflict hopefully will end with the ceasefire."

The terms of the deal will take time, but overall is a fairly basic plan.
The Hill noted:
Under the terms of the agreement, the Israeli military will retreat to an agreed upon line in the Gaza Strip, cease its military strikes and liberate 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.
In exchange, Hamas will release all hostages, both still living and dead. The Trump administration brokered a deal that would also eventually end in Gaza being turned over to an independent Palestinian body.
Social media reacts
Users across social media had plenty of commentary on Clinton's praise, with some not buying it as authentic.
"She’s trying to stay out of prison. Has no political future. Just hopes to have a free future," one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "It often comes down to a strategic recognition that certain accomplishments transcend partisan lines, especially on foreign policy matters."
It'll be interesting to see what other Democrats decide to give President Trump the credit he deserves.
