Bill Clinton admits that Trump deserves 'great credit' for Middle East peace deal
This month saw President Donald Trump's 20-point plan for peace in the Gaza Strip receive acceptance from both Israel and Hamas.
While many Democrats have been reluctant to give Trump credit, former President Bill Clinton recently went rogue on the issue.
Clinton says Trump deserves "great credit for keeping everyone engaged"
As Breitbart reported, Clinton voiced support for the president's plan in a statement released via social media earlier this week.
"The horrors of the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel and the conflict they reignited have resulted in unbearable human loss. It has been hard to watch and nearly impossible to rationalize," Clinton wrote on Monday.

"I'm grateful that a ceasefire has taken hold, that the last 20 hostages have been freed, and that desperately needed aid has begun to flow into Gaza," he said.
"President Trump and his administration, Qatar, and other regional actors deserve great credit for keeping everyone engaged until the agreement was reached," Clinton acknowledged.
Hillary Clinton: "I really commend President Trump and his administration"
"Now Israel and Hamas — with the support of the United States, the region, and the world — must try to turn this fragile moment into lasting peace that provides for the dignity and security of both Palestinians and Israelis," he continued.
The former two-term president then went on to express his belief that the respective parties can "get there, but only if they do it together."
Meanwhile, Breitbart pointed out how Trump also received words of praise from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as well.
"I really commend President Trump and his administration, as well as Arab leaders in the region, for making the commitment to the 20-point plan, and seeing a path forward for what is often called the day after," she told CBS News.
Trump given Egypt's highest civilian award
Recognition for Trump's peacemaking success was not confined to the United States, as the Jerusalem Post reported on Monday that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi presented Trump on Monday with the Nile Medal, his country's highest civilian honor.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement which similarly hailed the president's achievement.
"The Kingdom appreciates the active role of U.S. President Donald Trump and the mediation efforts by the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Turkey to reach this agreement," it read.
