Ex-VP Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff, attended a 'No Kings' anti-Trump rally in southern California

On Saturday, leftist activist groups across the country staged hyper-partisan protests and rallies against President Donald Trump that, in some locations, were attended by thousands of people, including some prominent Democrats and elected officials.

One such "No Kings" rally in southern California was attended by Doug Emhoff, the husband of failed 2024 Democratic nominee and former Vice President Kamala Harris, according to Breitbart.

Harris was not with her husband at the anti-Trump protest, nor does she appear to have attended a different rally elsewhere, but she did express her support ahead of time for the coordinated Trump-hating events.

Emhoff attended a rally with his son; Kamala signals her support

Saturday afternoon, former second gentleman Emhoff posted on X a photo of himself and his son, Cole, at a protest and labeled it, "No Kings Santa Monica."

In a follow-up post, Emhoff was posed next to a woman wearing a ballerina skirt over leggings while he held a pink sign that said, "If Kamala had won we'd be at brunch! No Kings!"

It seems apparent that the former vice president and failed Democratic nominee was not at the rally with her husband, as she was most likely out of town on the promotional tour for her new book about her unsuccessful presidential campaign last year.

She did, however, post a video on X, which appeared to be filmed in a nondescript hotel room, in which she encouraged everybody to attend their local "No Kings" rally and make their anti-Trump voices heard.

Trump trolls the "No Kings" rallies

There is no question that the leftist "No Kings" protests and rallies were intended to get under President Trump's skin and irritate him with the false narrative that he is ruling the country as some kind of authoritarian monarch.

In that, the rallies were an epic fail, however, as Trump undoubtedly relishes both good and bad attention, and he spent part of the day mocking his haters with obviously AI-generated memes and videos.

One such video, set to the "Top Gun" movie's theme song, the president piloted an F-18 with "King Trump" emblazoned on the side, which he used to drop liquified excrement on the protester-filled streets below him.

In another video, which was first posted on the ultra-leftist Bluesky platform by Vice President JD Vance, Trump was seen donning a crown and a robe and raising a sword while numerous elected Democrats, led by former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), all bowed on one knee before him.

This is not a serious thing

According to many media outlets, there appeared to be a strong turnout at the "No Kings" rallies, at least in the major Democrat-led cities, but it was who that turned out -- including several elected Democratic politicians -- that has raised some questions about the effectiveness of the protests and the predominant makeup of the opposition to President Trump.

At most of the protests, the bulk of the people there hailed almost entirely from the older generations, and the relatively few young people in attendance were obvious partisans, with many boasting brightly-colored hair atop their angry pierced visages, or decked out in furry or inflatable animal suits, utterly belying the supposed seriousness of the alleged threat Trump poses to "democracy" and the nation.
