Hillary Clinton gets mocked on her birthday

Hillary Clinton's recent attempt to connect with the public on her birth went all wrong.

Breitbart News reports that Clinton received significant pushback to her birthday message.

As we will see, the team of President Donald Trump joined in.

Clinton's birthday message

On Sunday, Clinton took to social media to post a birthday message.

She wrote:

I'm 78 today, and thinking of all the people who helped this young girl grow and thrive along the way. Today I'd love to hear about how you're showing up, in ways large or small, for the next generation. Maybe someone will be inspired by your comment to be a part of a child's village in the same way.

By "this young girl," Clinton was referring to herself. She included with her post a photograph of herself as a young girl.

Social media users were quick to respond. One wrote, "She reminds me of the mean little girl whose father owned the general store on The little house on the prairie." Another called Clinton "The definition of a battle axe" and "The Devil in disguise."

Even President Trump's team got involved. They reposted an image that Clinton had previously posted of herself back before the results of the 2016 presidential election. At the time, she wrote, "Happy birthday to this future president." The Trump team replied with video of Trump winning the 2016 election.

Putting differences aside

Clinton surprised everyone recently by actually praising Trump for the Israel-Hamas peace deal that he brokered.

Clinton said:

It’s a really significant first step and I really commend President Trump and his administration, as well as Arab leaders in the region for making the commitment to the 20-point plan and seeing a path forward for what’s often called the day after. Most importantly, the conflict hopefully will end with the ceasefire. The hostages will be returned, and then the very hard work of rebuilding Gaza, of finding the kind of security that Israel and the Palestinians after Hamas deserve to have. Moving forward with the other points in the plan to try to create an opportunity for Palestinians to have a better life and for Israel to have greater peace and security. I am very hopeful that we’ll be able to see progress. Today is a good start, but we have to keep going from here.

It is hard to recall any other moment in which Clinton did not criticize Trump.

This, however, did not last long.

More recently, Clinton joined in with those criticizing Trump's ballroom construction.
