Trump says Vance and Rubio would be an 'unstoppable' White House ticket
The past few years have seen President Donald Trump repeatedly muse about the possibility of running for a third term in office.
Yet in a shocking moment on Monday, Trump suggested that a ticket consisting of Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio would be "unstoppable."
Trump: "I’m not sure if anybody would run against those two"
According to Breitbart, Trump made the comment aboard Air Force One, saying, "We have, JD, obviously, the vice president is great. Marco is great… I’m not sure if anybody would run against those two. I think if they ever formed a group, it would be unstoppable."
Speaking with reporters on board Air Force One en route to Japan on Monday, President Trump again refused to rule out a bid for a third presidential term, despite the 22nd Amendment limiting presidents to being elected twice.

This is not the first time that Trump has spoken positively of Vance's presidential prospects in 2028, as he previously did so in August.
USA Today quoted Trump as telling reporters that his vice president is "doing a great job, and he would probably be favored at this point" to get the GOP's nomination.
Vance downplays talk of a White House run in 2028
For his part, Vice downplayed speculation regarding his political future during a September interview with the president's daughter-in-law, Fox News host Lara Trump.
"If we do a good job in 2025 and 2026, then we can talk about the politics in 2027," the vice president at one point remarked to Mrs. Trump.
"I really think the American people are so fed up with folks who are already running for the next job, seven months into the current one," he continued.
"There are a lot of great people," Vance said of other prominent figures within the Republican Party. "If I do end up running, it's not going to be given to me—either on the Republican side or on the national side."
Poll gives Vance a massive lead among New Hampshire Republicans
Nevertheless, Politico pointed out last month how the vice president already appears to enjoy a commanding lead in New Hampshire.
The publication cited a survey carried out by Saint Anselm College between August 26 and August 27 which showed Vance as being supported by 56% of Republican primary voters there.
Politico observed that no other GOP contender was in double digits, with Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis taking a distant second place spot at just 8%.
