White House says Trump admin does not have formal plan to overhaul Obamacare
The White House just clarified that it does not have a formal plan to overhaul the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
This comes, according to The Hill, as President Donald Trump has been repeatedly calling upon lawmakers to do just that.
Here is one of several statements recently made by Trump:

"I am recommending..."
Obamacare was a big talking point in the recently ended government shutdown, and President Trump used the opportunity to pitch the idea of overhauling Obamacare.
According to Fox News, in one post, Trump wrote:
I am recommending to Senate Republicans that the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars currently being sent to money sucking Insurance Companies in order to save the bad Healthcare provided by ObamaCare, BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE, and have money left over. In other words, take from the BIG, BAD Insurance Companies, give it to the people, and terminate, per Dollar spent, the worst Healthcare anywhere in the World, ObamaCare.
Trump continued to rail against Obamacare in several other messages.
For example, in one, he simply wrote, "OBAMACARE 'SUCKS.' THE WORST HEALTHCARE FOR THE HIGHEST PRICE."
In another, he wrote:
Chuck Schumer says the USA "has a healthcare crisis". Wait wasn't Obamacare supposed to have fixed all of this when it was shoved down Americans throats in 2010 without a single vote from a republican in either house? Why do taxpayers need to bail out Obamacare with subsidies now?
There's no formal plan, says WH
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was asked about the situation during a recent interview that he did with ABC News.
There, he revealed that, thus far, that Trump administration does not have a formal plan to overhaul Obamacare.
The Hill reports:
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Sunday that he’s seen no formal proposal to overhaul the Affordable Care Act (ACA) despite President Trump’s latest call to nix the program and to direct the funds, instead, into the pockets of the American people.
The outlet quotes Bessent as saying, "We don’t have a formal proposal."
There is no question, though, that Trump is going to keep trying to garner support for such a proposal.
