The Jeffrey Epstein saga is far from over, especially as members of Congress continue to push for the release of troves of files related to the case that haven't been viewed by the public.

According to the New York Post, the House Oversight Committee obtained a new batch of emails this week that revealed Epstein suddenly cut off communications with former President Bill Clinton for mysterious reasons.

The emails were handed over to the House committee from Epstein's estate, according to the bombshell report.

In the emails, it was revealed that a former White House counsel to President Barack Obama, Kathryn Ruemmler, had a "chummy" relationship with the disgraced child sex-trafficker and often discussed politics with him in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.

What's going on?

The emails between Epstein and Ruemmler were interesting, to say the least, with one of them showing that Epstein took issue with President Clinton, calling him a liar.

The Post noted:

In a Jan. 23, 2016, email, Epstein revealed that he broke off contact with Slick Willy after “he swore, with whole-hearted conviction to me that he had done something, he had forgotten that he also swore the exact opposite to me only weeks before."

A spokesperson for the former president quickly jumped on the news of the emails and doubled down, asserting that Clinton was never privy to Epstein's dark activities.

"Who knows what they’re talking about," the spokesperson said in a statement. "What we do know and have always said is that President Clinton knew nothing about Epstein’s heinous crimes and hadn’t spoken to him in twenty years. Now here it is in black and white."

The emails also discussed a mysterious person named "macgiver."

The Post added:

“I will just say I told you so. Not to sound overly dramatic, but he is very close to being a psychopath,” Ruemmler had said earlier in the exchange of the mysterious individual. “[H]e has no conscience. It’s scary."

“He obviously said something to you yesterday that was disturbing, and you don’t want to tell me. Just tell me — I can take it. I promise," Ruemmler said in the email of the mysterious "macgiver."

Deep ties with Clinton

Although the Clintons have denied any knowledge of Epstein's disgusting activities, the Clintons and Epstein have a long history tied together.

The Post noted:

Clinton and Epstein’s ties date back to at least the early 1990s, when the child sex predator donated money to the 42nd president’s campaign. Later, he contributed $20,000 to Hillary Clinton’s Senate campaign in 1999. Epstein visited the White House over a dozen times during the Clinton presidency, visitor logs show.

So, it's really not a stretch to believe that more was known than the Clintons are willing to admit.
