Democratic lawmakers, who've bought their own false narrative linking President Donald Trump to deceased convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, may soon regret their insistent push to publicly release all of the federal government's files on the perverted predator who was far more closely connected to their own party.

As one example, a recently released 2013 email to Epstein from representatives of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) included a solicitation for donations and a meeting, along with an invitation to a fundraising dinner with then-President Barack Obama, according to Breitbart.

Other old emails have shown, contrary to the preferred narrative about a purportedly enduring friendship, that Epstein actually despised Trump and was working furiously behind the scenes in coordination with leftist authors, journalists, and Democratic lawmakers to bring the Republican president down during his first term.

Last week, Democrats and the media attempted to fuel the false Trump-Epstein narrative with the release of a handful of selectively edited and redacted emails to or from Epstein that happened to make mention of the current president -- though that quickly backfired on them once Republicans broadly shared the edits, redactions, and surrounding context.

In a floor speech on Tuesday in support of a bill calling for the government to release all relevant files on Epstein, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) provided an update on his committee's ongoing probe of the matter and called out his Democratic colleagues for their failed attempts to connect Epstein with Trump.

"Unfortunately, throughout this investigation, Democrats have chosen to manufacture yet another anti-Trump hoax instead of pursuing justice," Comer said. "They have mischaracterized witness testimony and selectively released documents, complete with targeted redactions, in an effort to smear President Trump."

He proceeded to cite a few examples of Democrats' "hypocrisy" on the issue, and said, "unsurprisingly, Democrats have been silent about their colleague’s coordination with Epstein."

"Another email shows Democrat fundraisers invited Epstein to attend an event, or meet privately with Hakeem Jeffries, in 2013 as part of their effort to build a Democrat House majority," the chairman added, according to Breitbart. "So Hakeem Jeffries’ campaign solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein. That’s what we found in the last document batch."

The email referenced by Chairman Comer, obtained from Epstein's estate, per Breitbart, was sent to Epstein in 2013 by Dynamic SRG, a public affairs and political fundraising firm that supports progressive Democratic candidates and organizations, just a few years after Epstein was released from prison for child prostitution.

The message, authored by Dynamic partner Lisa Rossi Amor, referred to then-newly elected Rep. Jeffries as "Brooklyn’s Obama," and asked for donations to back his bid to help win a Democratic majority in the House in 2014.

She wrote that "Hakeem is committed to electing a Democrat majority in 2014 and is encouraging his friends to participate in the DCCC/DSCC [Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee/Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee] fundraising dinner with President Obama this coming Monday night."

Rossi Amor further encouraged Epstein to contact her if he wanted to "get involved" in the fundraising dinner or the broader campaign effort, as well as if he wanted an "opportunity to get to know Hakeem better."

Trump Jr. weighs in on Democrats' Epstein hypocrisy

The unexpected exposure of the ties between Epstein, Hakeem Jeffries, and Barack Obama was too much for Donald Trump Jr. to ignore, as he took to his X account to share a clip of Chairman Comer's speech and pointedly chided Democrats and their media allies over their hypocritical and failed attempts to connect Epstein to his presidential father.

"So a convicted sex offender who trafficked kids gets invited to a private dinner with Obama and a meeting with Jeffries five years after being released but it’s somehow still all about Trump?" the eldest first son wrote. "The Epstein saga is a hoax re Trump, but not the Democrats who he funded & enabled him!"
