Alex Bruesewitz, an adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, was still in the hospital Monday after fainting at the lecturn while delivering a speech to a New York Young Republicans gala Sunday night and suffering a second fainting spell while being checked out.

Bruesewitz had no symptoms prior to the first fainting spell and gives frequent speeches with no problems.

He had begun the speech with compliments to the Young Republicans Club and shoutouts to prominent attendees when he started to slur his words.

“I’m forgetting my words,” he said, and then fell forward over the lecturn.

"Did I at least look cool?"

Former senior aide to Nigel Farage Raheem Kassam told the crowd later that Bruesewitz was okay.

“I talked to our friend Alex Bruesewitz and you know what he said to me? He goes, ‘Did I at least look cool?’” Kassam said.

“I said, ‘Alex, you used gravity like I’ve seen nobody use gravity before in their lives,’” he joked. “But he’s recuperating back there, so give him a big cheer so he’ll hear you.”

Human Events editor Jack Posobiec said that all of Bruesewitz's levels looked normal after the spell.

"He’ll be just fine," Posobiec said on X.

More questions

But after the second fainting spell, there are more questions about what may be plaguing Bruesewitz.

“He is still admitted to a hospital in New York where he has undergone a series of tests. Please keep this young fighter in your thoughts and prayers,” Bruesewitz’s lawyer Joseph D. McBride wrote on X Monday morning.

Bruesewitz is the founder of X Strategies, a conservative political consultancy firm that champions the America First agenda.

He has also written several books on conservative politics, including "Winning the Social Media War: How Conservatives Can Fight Back, Reclaim the Narrative, and Turn the Tides Against the Left."

The conservative world is praying for his health and well being.
