With each passing month, we get another reminder of how bad the Biden administration's immigration policy was at every turn. Trump's been in office, and yet Americans are still dying or being harmed by illegal immigrants let in during the Biden administration. Each of these stories supports Trump's crackdown more than the others.

The latest awful event is the shooting of two National Guard members in Washington, D.C. The two victims had been on the job less than 24 hours and were still targeted in an ambush attack by a man who traveled across the country to commit this vile act.

According to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, "Afghanistan native Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, drove across the country" for the attack. Furthermore, Lakanwal came to America through Operation Allies Welcome after partnering with U.S. forces ... The program was started in 2021 under President Joe Biden's leadership to provide shelter for 'vulnerable Afghans' who had helped the U.S. during the messy exit from the country."

Helping out Afghan nationals who aided the United States in its war over there is fine as a policy point. But the question everyone asked at the time was whether or not Biden was vetting everyone coming over, which never got a satisfactory answer.

As a result, the United States is cutting off that program entirely. The CIA said, "Effective immediately, processing of all immigration requests relating to Afghan nationals is stopped indefinitely pending further review of security and vetting protocols ... The Trump Administration is also reviewing all asylum cases approved under the Biden Administration, which failed to vet these applicants on a massive scale."

We know from what has been released so far that he worked with the CIA against the Taliban. And did other work for the U.S. military. But we don't know how Biden's team obtained final clearance to bring him to the United States and to approve his asylum claims in 2024.

It's a common refrain we're hearing with all of Biden's immigration policies. We see people showing up here, but no one can explain the how or the why.

In just the last few months, we've seen illegal immigrants kill Americans in semi-truck crashes in California and Florida. In both instances, Biden let them across the border with the most lax border security in generations. Then, Democratic-run states handed out CDL driver's licenses to these same illegals like candy-throwing clowns in a parade.

In some instances, these illegals had CDL driver's licenses listing "NO NAME" as their legal name. It's insane what we're seeing as four years of insane border security are getting cleaned up.

I see Democrats fire back that some of these events are happening under Trump, or that Trump is granting some of the re-applications. That's true. It's a sign that the system isn't working if we're seeing rubber stamps applied at lower levels.

But a bigger point remains: none of these people should be here to begin with. I've read recent reports from left-leaning journalists and Democrats parroting it that not all illegal immigrants have violent crimes, so these crackdowns aren't worth it.

I'm sorry, what part of "illegal" immigrant do you not get? If you come here and break the law to do it, you're a criminal. It's that simple. Every single person here illegally didn't follow the process to come here.

I don't mind people who go through the process to become Americans. Following that process is the first step of assimilation, and we should encourage that. Illegal immigrants show none of those steps, and none of the things we want in this country. And if you're breaking even more laws, or blue states are helping you take these jobs with no reasonable guarantee you can actually do it, what are we even doing?

The hypocrisy of the left on this point makes no sense. Throughout the pandemic, they threatened the jobs and careers of American citizens who didn't follow their broad, inane pronouncements of what to do. And then they turn around and coddle people breaking the law purely because they're illegal immigrants.

It's a wholesale betrayal of American citizens. It is not insane to ask that fundamental laws we've already passed and agreed upon as a society be enforced. Illegal immigrants should not be driving American roads if they can't read road signs. Migrants from war zones need extra vetting because we don't know what their real motives might be.

Biden did none of these things, and now here we are. It's hard to take any of the bleating from Democrats seriously on the ICE and Customs and Border Patrol raids seriously. Biden opened the borders and helped lawbreakers.

Americans are literally getting shot in the streets over these policies. What more will it take to change the average Democrat's mind that their open borders experiment was a disaster? Two National Guardsmen, newly on the job, were shot over this. How many more of these events do we need?
