Democrats have entered the "now the truth can be told" portion of their ouster from the White House. From Biden to Congress, Democrats are coming out to say various members of their party aren't fit for office due to physical issues. The weird one in this group, though, is John Fetterman.

New York Magazine started the blitz on Fetterman with a piece filled with anonymous and named staffers claiming Fetterman isn't physically or mentally able to perform his job. They point to the obvious things: his dress, his health post-stroke, and more.

Of course, the irony of these critiques is that they're three years late. Fox News notes that in 2022, "Tech journalist and podcast host Kara Swisher was one of Fetterman's most vocal defenders after NBC News aired a report shedding light on the severity of his stroke, even taking a personal shot at reporter Dasha Burns (now Politico's White House bureau chief), who spoke about Fetterman's cognitive challenges she witnessed and questioned whether he understood what she was saying in small talk following a rare in-person interview at the time."

The piece continues, "'Sorry to say but I talked to John Fetterman for over an hour without stop or any aides and this is just nonsense. Maybe this reporter is just bad at small talk,' Swisher posted on X in response to Burns."

Swisher sings a different tune now. When she read one of the hit pieces on Fetterman,"' This is so sad and Ben Terris handles it with fairness and empathy,' Swisher wrote on the social media platform Bluesky. "Having had a stroke, I can say meds and self care is key to a good recovery and a great life. This was also so avoidable and the twisting of Fetterman's massive political skills is painful to read."

She's not alone, you can find similar flip-flops like this across the board. All the usual suspects in the press had nothing wrong to find with Fetterman in the immediate aftermath of his stroke, when his wife and family shoved him onto a debate stage where he couldn't even put together a coherent sentence.

What's changed? Fetterman is one of the most ardent pro-Israel supporting Senators in Congress. While his party is running to the far left, embracing anti-semitic protests, Fetterman is doing the opposite. The result is that he's broadly popular in a purple state, winning Republican detractors.

Notably, his turn towards Israel and Judaism is happening against a backdrop in his state where the press and Democrats are memory-holing a racist, antisemitic arson attack on Josh Shapiro, a Jewish governor. Shapiro is a popular Democrat in a purple state himself. But both Shapiro and Fetterman are no longer any good for national Democrats, who increasingly support the antisemitism fomenting at Ivy League universities.

This is the bizarre state we're in: Conservatives are looking at the attacks on Fetterman and noting that these are Democratic smear jobs against a sitting Democratic Senator. The time to say something about Fetterman's health was in 2022. Instead, Democrats said nothing was wrong with him.

The only time something is wrong with Fetterman is when radical leftist staffers quit their jobs with him, and national Democrats oppose his pro-Israel views.

Ironically, this is a reverse version of Joe Biden. Democrats and the press denied everything about Biden while he was in office and campaigning. A year later, four books are dropping just this spring and summer on Biden's mental and physical health decline, where Democrats admit everything.

The great truth-telling for Democrats has arrived. They speak the truth about Biden because his political career is over, and they want him off the stage. For Fetterman, he speaks in support of Jews and Israel, and therefore Democrats must "speak the truth" about his health now.

If you ever wanted proof Democrats learned nothing from the 2024 election, the Fetterman smear job is Exhibit A. The man is still recovering from a stroke. Nothing about his recovery is surprising. But if you weren't worried in 2022, it's hard to take your fainting couch moment now very seriously.

These are left-wing critics who agree with the radical leftists who hate Jews. Remember, Fetterman supports Israel and is attacked. And Shapiro was nearly assassinated for being an observant Jew during Passover. There's a common thread between Fetterman and Shapiro, and it's not just the political affiliation next to their name.

Fetterman's health is a done issue now. The smear job is a tacit admission that Democrats lied about Fetterman's health in 2022, and they're lying about it in 2025. It has nothing to do with him or his health. In Fetterman's case, they hate him because he's willing to stick his neck out for Jews in America and Israel.

That he's doing this in the Democratic Party makes him brave. If you want proof, look at what a radical left-wing nutjob tried to do to Josh Shapiro. The stakes are real. Democrats' supposed new adherence to speaking the truth is not.
