Democrats started the riots in Los Angeles. That's the truth, and there's no escaping the hard facts on the ground. The line being peddled by Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass, and others that Trump is at fault does not match reality. Democrats whipped up a frenzy, which is leaving Trump and Republicans to clean it up.

The Los Angeles Times went out into the field and determined how the riots began. L.A. Assemblymember José Luis Solache Jr. was driving through his district and saw U.S. Customs and Border Protection vehicles driving through. He decided to follow them, and they stopped in an office park across from a Home Depot. There's also a federal facility where they were sitting.

Solache had a meltdown. The Times reports, "Unclear why they were there, he decided to record a post for Instagram. 'I saw a border agent get off the freeway here off of Alondra. I was like, No, it can't be happening,' he said. It was around 9 a.m. 'This is horrible,' he said on one of the posts. 'I am literally shaking. I don't know what they're doing inside. But, I mean, why were they in Paramount?,' he told his followers."

His video spread like a wildfire.

Protestors swarmed the area and went to the location of the federal officials that Solache identified. The Times notes, "The protests arrived as word spread on social media of a raid at Home Depot or at a meatpacking place. There was never a raid at Home Depot but dozens of Border Patrol agents and other federal agencies were inside a gated industrial office park, where an initial crowd had gathered."

The rioters didn't just stand there recording, either. They started attacking. "But near the gates, any time federal agents saw that protesters threw anything toward them or neared the police line, they shot out tear gas or flash-bang rounds. There were about 100 people there. As the crowd grew, sheriff's deputies were deployed to block off a perimeter on the east and west, near the 710 Freeway. Protesters shouted at deputies, asking why they were helping."

Here, you have three critical things. First, you have a Democrat whipping up baseless accusations against federal officials near a federal building. Second, those whipped-up protestors immediately start throwing things, trying to assault the same federal agents. And third, the rioters are livid at local police trying to stop them.

Things have only descended from this point.

There is nothing law-abiding or free-speech-oriented about these riots. They were whipped into a frenzy by a local Democrat, and now those same Democrats are trying to blame Donald Trump.

Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass, and the rest are scrambling to come up with any excuse to shift the blame away from themselves. Newsom, in particular, is grotesque on this front. Just last year, in the ancient year of 2024, he was posting social videos asking Biden and Congress for more National Guard support to help California with border patrol efforts. He blamed Republicans for the border disaster.

Other Democrats are running to their security blanket of January 6, complaining about double standards on how their rioters in L.A. are being treated versus Donald Trump pardoning those who stormed the U.S. Capitol Building.

This argument is an admission without Democrats seeming to notice: they're tacitly admitting that these riots are as destructive as, if not worse than, January 6. We're already headed towards the L.A. riots becoming a week-long affair and spreading to other cities. And as I've written previously, these protesters are no different than the antisemitic riots that have happened for years now.

And in truth, I don't care if we decide to prosecute these L.A. rioters like Democrats demanded and did with those on January 6. 

Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass failed California on the wildfires. They've failed to respond to the riots, which continue to rage. They and every other Democrat responsible, including José Luis Solache Jr., should be forced to answer for the disaster they've created.

The press wants to talk about misinformation, disinformation, fake videos, and more, but Democrat conspiracy theorists are the ones who kicked off this disaster. A Democrat falsely claiming that ICE raids were targeting his community across from a Home Depot is what started this disaster on social media.

Fake news started with Democrats. The federal government was conducting standard ICE and Customs and Border arrests prior to these riots. Democrats fear-mongered and whipped up a frenzy among those already rioting at anti-Israel events.

Democrats started this, and now Republicans have to end it. Trump is correct to push toward ending these riots because no American should have to live in fear of these events. Left-wing radicals were targeting Jews and those supporting them before the L.A. riots, and they're going after federal agents this week.

They won't stop.
