DANIEL VAUGHAN: Pam Bondi Needs To Investigate Leftist Domestic Terrorism

For years, we've listened to Democrats talk about how awful January 6 was and all the fallout from that. We've had Congressional investigations, books, reports, and endless commentary on the topic. That's all fine and good, but when political domestic terrorism takes place against Republicans, a different tune gets sung.

The latest round involves people attacking Tesla dealerships or cars. The Department of Justice under Pam Bondi has arrested three people so far, calling their actions domestic terrorism against Tesla properties. She said, "The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended. Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars."

In Oregon, "One defendant, also armed with a suppressed AR-15 rifle, was arrested after throwing approximately eight Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership." In Colorado, the defendant attempted to "light Teslas on fire with Molotov cocktails. The defendant was later found in possession of materials used to produce additional incendiary weapons."

In South Carolina, "a third defendant wrote profane messages against President Trump around Tesla charging stations before lighting the charging stations on fire with Molotov cocktails."

These acts came after a group started doxxing Tesla dealerships and owners, pointing people to cars, charging stations, and homes. They used Molotov cocktail icons on the map. Whether or not those arrested used or were inspired by that map is irrelevant. The DOJ is prosecuting people for literally taking those acts.

There's another commonality, though. The same leftism that is fine with the firebombing was also okay with UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson being assassinated. The Free Press did a disturbing deep dive into the cult that's developed around the assassin, who sits in prison awaiting a trial.

Those in that cult consider the shooter a "progressive hero."

These are the same progressives and leftists who screamed about the "rule of law" and celebrated Trump getting jailed. Yet when push comes to shove, they side with killers and terrorists.

It's not just these domestic events. We have an American left that has thrown its lot in with anti-Israel and pro-Hamas forces. The latest outrage from the left is Trump deporting a Brown University professor on an H-1B visa who actively traveled to Lebanon, attended the funeral of Hassan Nasrallah the former head of Hezbollah, and declared her support for a state sponsor of terror that's responsible for murdering Americans and Jews.

These people don't want to "punch Nazis," they've thrown their lot in with them.

From there, you can draw a straight line through the multiple assassination attempts on Donald Trump, the Congressional baseball field shooting, attempts on Supreme Court justices, and the attacks against Senator Rand Paul.

And these are just the highlights. We're not looking at how progressives burned down cities in 2020, destroying the lives of everyone they met while chanting for justice.

There is no rule of law in modern progressivism. It's a secular cult that's become religiously convinced it is morally correct on everything and is using that to rationalize destroying anyone between them and their object of hatred.

What's most disturbing is that I know this doesn't apply to everyone. Some American liberals see this and know it's wrong. But they're not saying anything.

When Republicans and conservatives point out the obvious evil of these actions, it's considered partisanship. The media chalks it up into talking points. But we've moved beyond partisanship. The American left has shifted into dangerous territory involving assassination attempts and domestic terrorism.

We're extremely fortunate that the progressive left has not been more successful in their attacks. But we cannot depend on luck and the providence of the Most High forever. We have to secure our society.

I'm glad Pam Bondi is taking decisive action on Tesla. We'll have to go further, though. Democrats launched multiple probes against extremism on the right while excusing their own. It's time to flip that.

The progressive left must have investigations against its own radicalization. If Democrats will not stand up against their own side, it will have to be the rest of the country. It's a movement and party that's rotten to the core and radicalizing at an alarming rate.

These attacks against Tesla are inexcusable. That should be an easy moral bar to cross. If you can't do that, you are part of the political polarization problem in America.
