DANIEL VAUGHAN: Subpoena Biden's Doctor And Everyone Else
There are, unfortunately, only two takeaways from Biden's cancer diagnosis. Neither option is comforting nor explainable. Either Biden and his doctors refused to take crucial medical tests, or they did submit him to a battery of tests and lied about the results to the American public.
Jim Geraghty notes in an examination of the available public evidence that Biden never received a prostate-specific antigen test, or PSA. These are tests standard in men after the age of 55 that look for prostate cancer specifically. It's a blood test that is part of an overall battery of tests run.
The test is not controversial, and doctors recommend it just like they recommend colonoscopies and other preventative measures. We know Biden has had colonoscopies, which are far more invasive than a PSA test.
He had benign polyps removed after procedures in 2008 and 2021. And Biden has had physicals where he's had skin cancer removed. His son Beau Biden died from brain cancer. It's clearly a family history thing.
That leaves the question: Did Biden's doctor or medical team run PSA tests? If not, why? If they did, where would the results be?
Kevin O'Connor, the doctor at the center of this, is a long-time friend of the Biden family. He was with the Biden family in the White House and looked over Beau Biden's treatment. Joe Biden brought him back for his term in office.
Furthermore, "The loyal physician also has business ties to Biden's young brother, Jim Biden, after the pair worked closely on a rural hospital venture. In that instance, O'Connor engaged in business discussions with James for a since-bankrupted rural hospital chain that was later hit with fraud allegations by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Justice Department."
Biden's team skipping tests isn't something new. We know the White House purposely avoided cognitive tests as part of Biden's health monitoring. When reporters asked about it after Biden would release "health reports," his team always denied getting them.
This team now admits to journalists that Biden didn't know the names of his long-time aides. And that's not counting the times Biden told bizarre stories of cannibals eating past family members, talking to long-dead foreign leaders, or calling up deceased members of Congress. Looking at the purely public facts, this is evidence alone for a battery of cognitive tests.
We already know this team was covering up the cognitive side of Biden's decline. That there was a cover-up on this front has gone from right-wing conspiracy theory to accepted fact in the mainstream press. The evidence is so overwhelming that there's no avoiding it.
And yet, NPR led with this headline in its coverage: "Trump suggests without evidence that Biden delayed sharing his cancer diagnosis."
The reverse should be true: NPR implies, without evidence, that there's no cover-up of Biden's cancer diagnosis. Biden's family chose to drop this news right before the most incriminating of the books out against him is releasing. Democrat Dean Phillips, who tried to run against Biden in a primary, said, "I don't think it's coincidental," on the timing.
At this stage, if you're carrying water for Biden, you're a faithful partisan. The truth is out on the cognitive decline. Unfortunately, for Biden's team, it's not hard to imagine all his vacation trips to Delaware were for cancer treatment. That puzzle piece, by itself, would explain more than 90% of his decline.
That brings us back to square one: Biden's doctor and his family. What did they know, and when did they know it? Congress is subpoenaing every record and forcing doctors to testify about this cover-up, which is something that should happen. I have no doubts the doctor will hide behind doctor-patient privilege.
However, a thorough and deep investigation is warranted. Robert Hur's investigation said Biden was caught red-handed breaking classified document laws. The only reason they didn't charge him was that he had a bad memory, and a jury wouldn't likely convict him. In effect, the report crushed Biden's health claims in a way that no one could recover.
Democrats spent all of Biden's term going after January 6 and Trump for a litany of grievances and charges. Now that we've got arguably the most significant political cover-up of the century on our hands as a nation, they've lost their curiosity and demands for transparency.
The press is caught in this, too. The refusal, with few exceptions like Alex Thompson and the WSJ crew, to examine Biden's health and legal defenses contributed to the cover-up. The journalists who did this are little different than Walter Duranty covering for the Soviet Union's massacres and Joseph Stalin.
The next phase of the cover-up is here, though. Biden's doctor and his family have to answer questions. Because either they purposely refused tests to avoid a bad report, or they knew he had cancer and lied to everyone. The first is medical malpractice, and the second is a political calamity.
Since Biden was already hiding his cognitive decline, I know where I'm placing my bets. Congress needs to subpoena everyone involved and flush out the truth. America needs it.
