DANIEL VAUGHAN: The Pro-Terrorist Supporters Unearthed In The US Congress

The year was 2017, and Donald Trump had just been sworn into office. We were still in the early days of liberal denial; they hadn't even come up with the now-patented #RESIST moniker. One of the early events in Washington DC was the so-called "Women's March." It was made up of irate, liberal women who hated Donald Trump. But it also had another telling feature: it was filled with rabid, viral Jew-hating anti-Semites who found every chance they could attack Jews and Israel.

Conservatives pointed out the issues early on, but the Women's March leaders trotted out all the usual excuses for the anti-Semites in their midst. Eventually, the evidence of these anti-Semites became overwhelming, and from late 2018 to early 2019, people like Linda Sarsour got kicked out.

Leftist Racism Against Jews.

To his credit, Joe Biden even blasted Sarsour's involvement in Democratic politics. He also assured everyone that anti-Semites like Sarsour had no place in the Biden campaign. This was the first of many issues of Jew hatred on the left.

I've written many columns on the issues of anti-Semitism on the left, particularly amongst the so-called Squad. Ilhan Omar entered Congress telling people Jews had "hypnotized" the world. She's followed that up by playing with about every anti-Jew trope in the Anti-Defamation League's handbook of anti-Semitism.

They all have the same connections and friendships with Linda Sarsour, a woman so vile that Joe Biden and mainstream Democrats saw a need to verbally declare they didn't agree with or know. That's now a problem for the Squad.

Tlaib's Connections Revealed.

The independent journalist organization The Canary Mission, which typically investigates anti-Semitic attacks on college campuses, has stepped in to provide even more information on Rashida Tlaib, one of the Squad members. Not only does this member of Congress use all the same anti-Jew tropes as the rest, but according to Canary, she's actively sought help from and aided pro-terrorist organizations.

One of the highlights of Canary Mission's reporting comes from 2015:

In 2015, Tlaib co-founded the Detroit-based, anti-American, anti-Israel and pro-terror hate group, Black4Palestine. A co-founder used the group to conduct activism with members of the Marxist-Leninist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which is designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).

When Canary says she was aiding and abetting terrorist organizations, they aren't playing hyperbolic language. They're being quite literal. And the evidence that Canary Mission provides is damning, relying extensively on Tlaib's own words, speeches on YouTube and other events.

Anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party runs deep, and it's beyond tropes and hatred. There's a real connection here to groups that actively seek the destruction of all Jews based on them being Jews. There's no difference here in viewpoints between the KKK, Neo-Nazis, or someone putting support in terrorist organizations. The mindset and beliefs are identical.

Congress Must Act

Which brings us to the next major issue. At a minimum, Rashida Tlaib should be stripped of all her committee assignments and denied access to all US intelligence. If Congress had its collective act together, it would investigate Tlaib's connections that the Canary Mission lays out consider a complete expulsion for Tlaib. These are not the believes of someone who should be in the US Congress.

The threat here is genuine. Wednesday evening, Jewish students were forced to hide in a library with the doors locked because "pro-Palestinian protestors" stormed across campus and started demanding to get their hands on the Jewish students. Outside, The group found windows and started chanting directly at the Jewish students.

The Israeli consultant on the scene said the Jewish students were told they could hide in the library attic to stay safe. Ultimately, the NYPD arrived to escort the Jewish students to safety. Similar scenes are playing out across the country.

These organizations and more are the progeny of Tlaib, Omar, and the rest of the Squad. Congress needs to step in and force these anti-Semites out of Congress.

The Left Cannot Get Away With This

The media is complicit here, too. John Sexton at HotAir notes, "It's is long past time for the media to report the truth about Hamas, and about its mouthpiece in Congress, too. As one media outlet in DC loves to posture, democracy dies in darkness. The last time that newspaper even wrote a single word about Tlaib and Hamas? Never. The one WaPo link that comes up in that search comes from the August 2018 coverage of Tlaib's campaign and makes no mention of Hamas … even while Tlaib apparently employed Hamas activists and fundraisers to win that election. That's a lot of darkness to penetrate."

From the Women's March to now, there's an unfortunately long line of anti-Semites in leadership positions across liberal politics. Warnings have flashed for years over the issue. You could easily find it before the Women's March, too. But there is something different about this modern strain - it is much more direct and virulent. And it actively seeks one thing: the death of Jews.

There's a lot to clean up here. But Congress must start with censorships, stripping committee assignments, and expulsions.
