Fans of the "Yellowstone" spinoff show "1923" were devastated last week to learn that actor Cole Brings Plenty had died.

According to NBC News, Brings Plenty was found dead in a wooded area of Johnson County, Kansas located roughly 43 miles southwest of Kansas City, Kansas. The cause of his death has not been announced.

Actor went missing following domestic violence allegation

The network revealed that deputies with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office discovered the 27-year-old actor's body after being dispatched to investigate an abandoned vehicle on Friday afternoon.

NBC News previously noted that Brings Plenty had gone missing five days earlier following an alleged domestic violence incident in Lawrence, Kansas.

"Officers responded to reports of a female screaming for help, but the suspect fled before officers arrived," a statement put out by the Lawrence Police Department read.

The statement went on to explain that traffic cameras spotted Brings Plenty's 2005 Ford Explorer SUV leaving the city shortly thereafter.

Father thanks those who helped to look for son

Brings Plenty was represented by the talent agency Phirgun Mair Worldwide, and its founder released a statement of his own regarding the actor's disappearance.

"When Cole didn’t show up on Zoom, I reached out to his manager," NBC News quoted Peter Yanke as saying on Monday.

"We hope he is found safe and appreciate the efforts of his family, friends and film industry colleagues to try and locate him. Our thoughts go out to them during this difficult time," Yanke added.

NBC News reported that the actor's death was confirmed by his father, Joe Brings Plenty, who said he wanted "to thank everyone who came to walk beside us as we searched for my son and provided the resources we needed to expand our search areas."

"I learned this week how many people knew the goodness in Cole's heart and loved him," the elder Brings Plenty continued before adding that his family will "figure out how we move forward."
