Fox News reported earlier this year that Hollywood actor Joe Manganiello split with his wife Sofia Vergara following seven years of marriage.

Yet according to the network, Manganiello was recently spotted with a new girlfriend just five months after his divorce.

Fox News stated that the celebrity was seen alongside actress Caitlin O'Connor at an event in New York City this past weekend.

The pair were attending the 20th annual Children of Armenian Fund (COAF) Holiday Gala. COAF is a nonprofit organization which aims to improve the lives of children in Armenia, and it bestowed Manganiello with its Humanitarian Award.

"I had no idea how underrepresented the story of the Armenians was in the public"

Fox News noted that Manganiello recalled in a speech how his great-grandmother managed to survive the Armenian Genocide despite her husband and seven of their eight children being murdered.

"I had no idea how much impact that it would have," Fox News quoted him as saying. "And I had no idea how underrepresented the story of the Armenians was in the public."

"Since 1915, and even before that, the Turkish government refuses to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide, of the massacre of over 1.5 million of Armenians," he stressed.

"Every single Armenian has a story like mine," the star of "True Blood" continued before going on to add, "Every one of us carries the survivor's gene."

Sofia Vergara said to be dating an orthopedic surgeon

Meanwhile, an unnamed source who was present at the event told Fox News that the 46-year-old Manganiello and 33-year-old O'Connor "seemed so into each other."

Fox News reported in October that Manganiello's ex-wife had also moved on and was photographed leaving a Beverly Hills restaurant with Justin Saliman, an orthopedic surgeon.

The network explained that Saliman earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and did a fellowship at Stanford University.
