Actress Shannen Doherty gives away possession as cancer battle draws to a close
Actress Shannen Doherty gained worldwide fame for her roles on the hit television shows "Charmed" and "Beverly Hills, 90210."
Yet, according to Page Six, Doherty has begun giving possessions away as her battle with cancer draws to a close.
Actress doesn't want mom "to have a bunch of stuff to deal with"
The website noted that Doherty publicly acknowledged having stage 4 breast cancer in early 2020, telling "Good Morning America" the diagnosis had left her "petrified."
Yet in Monday's episode of her "Let's Be Clear," the Hollywood star told listeners, "My priority at the moment is my mom."
"I know it's going to be hard on her if I pass away before her," Doherty explained before adding, "Because it’s going to be so hard on her, I want other things to be a lot easier."
"I don't want her to have a bunch of stuff to deal with. I don't want her to have four storage units filled with furniture," she continued.
Doherty returned to Tennessee
The 52-year-old Memphis-born actress said that she has been selling her possessions or donating them to charity "just in case" death should come unexpectedly.
Doherty also recalled going back to her home state, remarking, "So we were in Tennessee and I was packing up one of the places there."

"It was really hard and really emotional because to a certain extent — I felt like I was giving up on this dream of building this property out, and putting a house for me and a house for my mom and then extending the barn," the actress lamented.
"That was one of my dreams," Doherty said as she began to become emotional. "I was packing up and I started crying."
Doherty hopes to "still live my dream of helping horses"
"I felt like I was giving up on a dream and what did that mean for me? Did it mean that I was giving up on life? Did it mean that I was throwing in the towel?" she asked.
While Doherty had hoped to use her property as a refuge for horses, the celebrity stressed that she "can still live my dream of helping horses."
"I can still live that dream by really participating in rescues that are far more capable of me doing it," Doherty emphasized.
