AG Pam Bondi will bring evidence of Trump-Russia collusion crimes to a grand jury
President Donald Trump has long said members of former President Barack Obama's administration promoted false allegations that he colluded with Russia during the 2016 election campaign.
Those figures could be facing legal ramifications after Attorney General Pam Bondi all but went nuclear on them this week by going to a grand jury.
Move comes following report from DNI Tulsi Gabbard
According to the BBC, Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutors will submit evidence regarding potential misdeeds by members of the Obama-era intelligence community.
That development comes just weeks after a lengthy press release was put out by Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard .
It detailed how the "Intelligence Community (IC) consistently assessed that Russia is 'probably not trying … to influence the election by using cyber means.'"
Despite this, "talking points were prepared for DNI James Clapper stating, 'Foreign adversaries did not use cyberattacks on election infrastructure to alter the US Presidential election outcome.'"
What's more, "Obama officials leaked false statements to media outlets, including The Washington Post, claiming, 'Russia has attempted through cyber means to interfere in, if not actively influence, the outcome of an election.'"
Whistleblower says intelligence figures knew evidence was faulty
Gabbard followed those revelations up last week by announcing that a whistleblower claims to have been "threatened by a supervisor to go along with the Obama-directed Russia hoax 'intelligence' assessment, even though they knew it was not credible or accurate."
NEW: Whistleblower reveals how they were threatened by a supervisor to go along with the Obama-directed Russia hoax “intelligence” assessment, even though they knew it was not credible or accurate. The Whistleblower refused.

"Yesterday we released the Whistleblower's firsthand account of what happened in the crafting of the January 2017 [Intelligence Community Assessment], their yearslong efforts to expose the egregious manipulation and manufacturing of intelligence carried out at the highest levels of government and the IC (detailed in our previous releases) and how they were repeatedly ignored," she continued.
"Thank you to this courageous whistleblower, and others who are coming forward now, putting their own well-being on the line to defend our democratic republic, ensure the American people know the truth, and hold those responsible accountable," the director of National Intelligence went on to add.
Trump accuses Obama of "treason"
Fox News reported that Trump told journalist and podcast host Miranda Devine last month that Obama is guilty of "treason."
"They made up all these stories, just fake stories, and yeah, I would say it was serious treason and hurt the country and put the country in danger. You know, they did, on the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, they lied unbelievably," he declared.
"Obama, what he did was terrible. What [John] Brennan did, and [James] Clapper, and [James] Comey, and all these lightweights, I mean, they're stupid people, actually. But what they did, and so unnecessary, and they made it really hard," Trump said.
