The Washington Times reported this week that California Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia announced plans for an online "master ICE tracker" tool which will be used to report the movements of immigration enforcement agents.

The move led Attorney General Pam Bondi to drop the hammer by asserting that the Department of Justice has "zero tolerance" for the targeting of ICE personnel.

Bondi accuses Democrats of "trying to put ICE agents at risk"

According to The Hill, Bondi made that declaration in a social media post on Tuesday, writing, "Shutdown Democrats are already refusing to pay our law enforcement agents."

"Now, [Rep. Robert Garcia] and [Sen. Richard Blumenthal] are trying to put ICE agents at risk just for doing their jobs," the attorney general complained.

"[The Justice Department] has ZERO tolerance for violence against law enforcement — we will prosecute any person who physically assaults our agents," she insisted.

Bondi's comments are inline with remarks that Assistant Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Tricia McLaughlin made to the Times.

"This sure looks like obstruction of justice. Our brave ICE law enforcement face a 1,000% increase in assaults against them," McLaughlin told the newspaper.

"If you obstruct or assault our law enforcement, we will hunt you down and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," the assistant DHS secretary pledged.

McLaughlin's statement came after Fox News reported that a Los Angeles high school history teacher was observed threatening ICE agents at a protest this past weekend.

"Don't forget where you're standing. This is South Central Los Angeles," Ron Gochez told a crowd. "They [ICE] are not the only ones with guns in this city. Don't forget that."

Garcia accuses ICE of detaining U.S. citizens

Meanwhile, The Hill referenced a statement from Blumenthal which accused ICE of "using police state tactics to terrorize communities across the country — unlawfully arresting at least 170 U.S. citizens in the process."

The website also noted how Garcia was quick to answer Bondi with a social media post of his own, writing, "Hey [Attorney General Pam Bondi], ICE detaining over 170 U.S. citizens is not them 'just doing their jobs.'"

"But since you have the time to tweet at me—when are you going to stop covering for pedophiles and release the Epstein files?" he demanded.
