Alec Baldwin Confirmed To Have Pulled Trigger On Murder Weapon

In October of 2021, Alec Baldwin was doing a camera rehearsal on the set of the western movie, Rust, that he was starring in.

Baldwin was handling an old Colt .45 during the rehearsal.

The gun was not supposed to be loaded with rounds that would fire, not even blanks.

Not only did rounds that would fire make it into the gun, they weren't even blanks: there was at least one live round that Baldwin fired from the gun.

Cinematographer killed

That's how 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins lost her life.

After an investigation, New Mexico prosecutors filed manslaughter charges against Alec Baldwin. Charges were also filed against the film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.

In addition to those two people, assistant director David Halls, the man who handed Baldwin the fatal weapon, was also charged.

Halls pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon because he had been the person to hand the gun to Baldwin without checking it. He received six months of probation, a fine, community service, and was required to take a gun safety course.

New evidence

The charges against Baldwin were eventually dropped, but new evidence has come to light that completely changes the case.

It's been confirmed that Alec Baldwin definitely pulled the trigger on that gun.

As a result, prosecutors very well may refile the charges against Baldwin:

"Over the last few days and in preparation for the May 3, 2023, preliminary hearing, new facts were revealed that demand further investigation and forensic analysis in the case against Alexander 'Alec' Rae Baldwin, III. Consequently, we cannot proceed under the current time constraints and on the facts and evidence turned over by law enforcement in its existing form. We therefore will be dismissing the involuntary manslaughter charges against Mr. Baldwin to conduct further investigation. This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled. Our follow-up investigation will remain active and on-going."

Baldwin had maintained throughout this entire investigation that he NEVER pulled the trigger on that gun, and it went off without his input.

Common sense could have told you that was a lie.

Now the evidence is saying it's true.
