Shocking revelations have come to the light in the case of Youtuber Ruby Franke who was charged with child abuse.

Ruby Franke, the star of a YouTube channel specializing in parenting advice with millions of followers, was arrested for abusing her children in August.

Now, as new allegations emerge, the more and more twisted this story gets.

Her husband, Kevin Franke, has claimed he was brainwashed by their then-marriage counselor, Jodi Hildebrandt.

That same marriage therapist owned the house Franke’s 12-year-old son escaped from before begging a neighbor for help, food, and water.

Both Jodi Hildebrandt and Ruby Franke were charged with six felony counts of aggravated child abuse.

Now, Kevin Franke’s attorney, Randy Kester, has revealed the disturbing reality of why Franke moved out of his house and had no idea of the conditions her children were living in.

The first question Randy Kester had for Kevin Franke after taking his case was simple.

Where was Kevin Franke during this on-going child abuse?

What Franke told Kester was absolutely bone-chilling.

His marriage counselor brainwashed him into moving out of his home and into an apartment where he was forced to isolate himself and limit communication with the outside world.

From that point on, Hildebrandt controlled Kevin Franke’s social interactions, including any conversations he had with his family.

“And he said, ‘Randy, I was so desperate to get back with my wife and my children, I was willing to take anyone’s advice who I thought was a professional and could help me reestablish my relationship and my bond with my kids and my family and my wife,’ and he said in hindsight, ‘I was brainwashed',” said Kester.

According to Kester, Franke agreed to these harsh conditions to try to keep his family together.

“Kevin loved his family a great deal and loved his wife a great deal. He did not want to be separated from them. He did not want to be apart from them, even to the point of not being able to speak to them. But he was persuaded by Jodi, who came as a trusted and upright professional to him,” said Kester.

The next court date has not yet been scheduled for Ruby Franke or Jodie Hildebrandt.
