Fox 5 reported that a Georgia State Patrol officer was wounded this past Wednesday during an attempt to clear out far-left protestors from a rural area near Atlanta.
His fellow officers returned fire and killed the man they say was responsible for the attack. In response, Antifa militants took to the streets of Atlanta on Saturday night in a fiery rampage.

Fellow independent journalist and conservative social media personality tweeted out a screenshot of a statement released on January 18 by Filler Distro.
The organization describes itself as being "an informal DIY collective that runs a zine distro, record label, and anarchist news website," and it called for unrest in response to last week's shooting.
"Consider this a call for reciprocal violence to be done to the police and their allies," it read. "On Friday, January 20th, wherever you are, you are invited to participate in a night of rage in order to the memory of fallen comrade."

Fox News noted that while Democrats were "largely silent" on Saturday's riot, Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp said "acts of violence against person or property will not be tolerated." He went on to pledge that offenders "will be arrested and prosecuted fully."
