Reporter Issam Adwan has been removed from his duties by the Associated Press after calling for the overthrowing of Israel.

Adwan, who has been covering the war between Israel and Hamas, has repeatedly made antisemitic statements against Israel over the past few years but his latest statements were too much to defend.

Many figures who thought themselves free to attack Israel at will are finding out that in the aftermath of the horrific terrorist attack that killed hundreds, their disgusting views are unpalatable to most.

Now Adwan has found himself suspended and will likely not work for the Associated Press again. While many are celebrating this news, Adwan's suspension comes years too late.

Adwan has been calling Israel and "apartheid" state and has even compared Israel to Nazi Germany as well as many other horrible statements for years.

Disgusting past

Some of Adwan's hate for Israel can likely be attributed to the fact that Adwan is from Gaza and worked with Middle East Eye and Al Jazeera English before joining the AP.

Nonetheless, that doesn't justify both his attacks on Israel and the veiled defense of Hamas's actions over the past few years.

In 2021, Adwan defended Hamas saying, "LET'S BE CRYSTAL CLEAR. DON'T ASK ME ABOUT THE ROCKETS OF HAMAS.. DON'T ASK ME ABOUT ‘VIOLENT’ PROTESTS AROUND PALESTINE. WE HAVE BEEN IN THIS GENOCIDE FOR 73 YEARS.... 73 YEARS OF NIGHTMARES. ASK ME ABOUT CHILD'S SLAUGHTER. STOP BEING IGNORANT FOR ONCE."

Adwan further claimed that Israel is a "racist regime that is so similar to the Nazis," which considering the history behind the modern Jewish state, is extremely offensive and unhinged.

The reality is that Israel has been fighting for its survival since it was founded following World War II.

While Adwan believes that Israel is the aggressor, history shows otherwise. Hamas is just one of many terrorist organizations hell bent on purging Jews from the Middle East.

Fighting for survival

Anyone who can look at what terrorists did to Israel and come away with the conclusion that Israel is the issue isn't worth listening to.

Adwan is one of untold numbers of individuals who have been justifying and ignoring the horrific crimes perpetrated by Hamas. Just hours after terrorists butchered innocent women and children, prominent figures were cheering Hamas.

Pro-Palestinian protests have popped up worldwide and further calls for violence against Jews have been heard worldwide.

Israel and the Jewish people in the Middle East are fighting for their survival and Americans should be proud to stand by them.
