Author: Staff did 'undemocratic things' to try and get Biden reelected

President Donald Trump raised eyebrows last week when he suggested that White House staffers manipulated his "cognitively impaired" impaired predecessor.

However, comments made this past weekend by author and Axios journalist Alex Thompson appear to have vindicated Trump's claim.

Thompson: Staffers rationalized "doing undemocratic things"

As Breitbart noted, Thompson appeared on "Fox News Sunday" and discussed a book he coauthored with CNN reporter Jake Tapper.

Their book is titled "Original Sin" and it focuses on efforts within the Democratic Party as well as mainstream media figures to misinform voters about President Joe Biden's declining health.

Thompson told host Shannon Bream of how one former White House staffer remarked that Biden "just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years."

"He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while. His aides could pick up the slack," the former staff member continued before adding, "When you’re voting for president, you’re voting for the aides around him."

Thompson summarized the mindset of those he spoke with by saying, "If you believe — and I think a lot of these people do sincerely believe — that Donald Trump was and is an existential threat to democracy, you can rationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things."

Audio recording reveals the extent of Biden's mental decline

Just how badly Biden's mental faculties had deteriorated became evident to Americans during his disastrous debate performance last June.

While the former president's defenders initially insisted that he was simply having "a bad night," a newly released audio recording proves otherwise.

The recording documented Biden's 2023 interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur, and it features a series of incoherent statements.

Medical expert suggests cancer diagnosis has been known for some time

At various points in their exchange, Biden exhibited confusion over when his son passed away, the year that he left the Senate, and when his vice presidency came to an end.

What's more, the former president only disclosed last week that he is suffering from advanced prostate cancer with bone metastasis.

Dr. Marc Siegel is Fox News' senior medical analyst, and  Siegal said he would be surprised if Biden's physicians "weren't doing a very close screening on this because everybody knows in the medical community that this is the one cancer in men you really look out for."
