Authorities have seen a rash of child migrant drowning along border
In a horrifying indictment of President Joe Biden's immigration policy, Breitbart reported that a slew of migrant children have recently been killed in drowning accidents along the border.
According to the website, a Texas medical examiner said that six minors under the age of 15 drowned in a single county over the past week.
Medical examiner says drowning rash is unprecedented
Dr. Corinne Stern was quoted as telling CNN correspondent Rosa Flores that she has never seen so many migrant drownings in such a short stretch of time, calling the situation "horrible."
Flores also cited an unnamed law enforcement source as saying that migrant apprehensions have exceeded 2,500 per day at some point during the week in Texas' Del Rio Border Patrol sector.
She also spoke with Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber, who indicated that his county is the deadliest one in the sector.
Schmerber complained that the migrant influx has strained the already limited resources of his office and said his deputies regularly respond to drowning incidents.
Three thousand migrants apprehended in 24-hour period
Nor is the wave of illegal immigration limited to Texas, as Flores revealed that daily migrant apprehensions have recently doubled in Border Patrol’s Tucson sector.
Meanwhile, Breitbart reported that 3,000 migrants were apprehended during a single 24-hour period this week in the Del Rio sector.
Del Rio Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Juan Bernal addressed that fact in a post on the social media platform previously known as Twitter.
"Our agents worked steadily throughout the day to secure these individuals and coordinate transportation for all the encounters," Bernal wrote.

Growing number of large migrant groups are being encountered
The news came just over a week after Bernal announced that his agency has been coming across more large groups, which are defined as 100 migrants or more.
