The Trump family shared a Christmas photo that included one remarkable detail: the young man standing in the back, towering over Donald Trump. 

That young man is none other than Barron, the 17-year-old youngest son of Donald and Melania Trump.

Like his reclusive mother Melania, Barron is rarely seen in public - but his incredible growth generates headlines whenever he happens to be spotted.

Height runs in the family: Donald Trump stands at 6-foot-three, and Melania is 5-foot-11. Barron is taller than them both, at 6-foot-seven.

He easily cleared everyone else in the Christmas photo, including his father.

Barron's facial features have also developed to resemble a younger version of his famous father.

The Christmas photo featured several members of the Trump clan, including Barron, his half-siblings Donald Jr., Ivanka and Tiffany, and their significant others.

Notably absent: Eric Trump and his wife Lara were not in the shot - and neither was Melania, although her father, Viktor Knavs, was there.

Melania wading into politics

Melania could not be present because she is caring for her ailing mother Amalija, the New York Post reported.

A former aide to Melania told the outlet that Barron's placement in the photo was a deliberate move by Melania to show support for her embattled husband.

“Barron’s appearance is truly monumental and shows Donald and Melania are in lockstep with one another,” Melania's former senior aide, Stephanie Wolkoff, said.

“I believe we will be seeing more of him now. Nothing happens by chance with Melania," Wolkoff said.

Melania may take on active role

Despite rumors of a rift between Melania and her husband, she is said to be contemplating a more active role on the campaign trail in 2024 now that her son is all grown up.

Melania "realizes it’s her time to join the ranks of historic first ladies and leave her mark on history … She feels better prepared for her potential role the second time around,” a source told PageSix.

Barron was just a little boy when his father won the presidency in 2016 - but he has grown to an incredible size befitting of his noble first name. Clearly, he's destined for great things, just like his father intended.
