Biden admin appoints VP Harris as the new 'AI czar'

If you thought tasking Vice President Kamala Harris with tackling illegal immigration was a bad call -- and it was -- just wait until you see what her next job is.

According to Breitbart, as Artificial Intelligence (AI) makes exponential, game-changing developments on a daily basis in 2023, with untold future ramifications, President Joe Biden has unbelievably tasked her as the White House's "AI czar."

Ideally, such a job might be awarded to one of the brighter minds of our generation, but instead, we get cackling Kamala, who's now overseeing civilization-changing technology.

If that doesn't scare you to death, it's hard to imagine what would.

What does this mean?

Artificial Intelligence, since the beginning of 2023, has made leaps and bounds that caught even our best and brightest off guard, including Elon Musk, and a number of others in the tech industry.

The technology is now smart enough to pass complex medical and legal exams, among other benchmark tests that AI previously couldn't handle. It's available to the public, and has spurred billions in new investments by some of the nation's largest companies, including Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and others.

"Vice President Harris and senior Administration officials will meet today with CEOs of four American companies at the forefront of AI innovation," the Biden administration recently said.

It added: "AI is one of the most powerful technologies of our time, but in order to seize the opportunities it presents, we must first mitigate its risks."

Breitbart noted:

The plan is to launch seven new AI research institutes, which will bring the total number of such institutes to 25 across the United States. From there, the entities will ask companies like Google, Microsoft, and ChatGPT’s creator OpenAI, to “participate in a public evaluation of AI systems.”

One can only imagine how many times Harris will laugh awkwardly when she's face to face with some of the most powerful tech leaders in the world, who happen to be several orders of magnitude more intelligent than our vice president.

Social media reacts

Not surprisingly, the very thought of Harris heading up what could be the most important and powerful -- and dangerous -- change in technology elicited mountains of justifiable skepticism and concern.

Another Twitter user added: "I would love to hear her explain what it is. Now that would be hilarious."

Appointing Harris as the AI czar would be a more appropriate headline for a Babylon Bee article, at best. One can only imagine how she's going to screw this up.
