Most Americans are sick and tired of mountains of taxpayer funds being shipped to Ukraine for war efforts, but that hasn't stopped President Joe Biden and his administration from continuing to do so.

According to Fox News, just months before President-elect Donald Trump is sworn into office, the Biden administration authorized a staggering $725 million for Ukraine.

The package, according to reports, will reportedly contain "anti-tank weapons, artillery, drones, munitions for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems and anti-personnel land mines.

The latest shipment of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of equipment is reportedly meant to help bolster Ukraine to be able to slow Russia's military advancements in the Kursk region.

What's happening?

The timing is significant given that Trump, on the campaign trail, vowed to bring an end to the Ukraine-Russia war before he even enters office. How he plans to make that happen within the next two months is unclear.

Regardless, Trump -- and his VP, J.D. Vance -- are against the war and have vowed to shut off the pipeline of American equipment and money being sent to Ukraine for war efforts.

Fox News noted:

Vance made headlines earlier this year after he suggested that the best way to end the war was for Ukraine to cede the land Russia has seized and for a demilitarized zone to be established, a proposal Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy flatly rejected.

Speaking of Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian president this week will push NATO leaders at an upcoming meeting to extend an invitation to his country, which would obviously completely disrupt and alter the war with Russia essentially overnight.

"We believe that the invitation should be extended at this stage," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said recently.

"It will become the Allies' adequate response to Russia's constant escalation of the war it has unleashed, the latest demonstration of which is the involvement of tens of thousands of North Korean troops and the use of Ukraine as a testing ground for new weapons."

Social media reacts

Many across social media were furious at the announcement of the latest weapons package for Ukraine.

"Wouldn’t it be cool if we ever spent any of this money on our veterans. Or the border," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "How can this be possible! The people have spoken. This is frivolous waste."
