Biden and Obama are done: report

ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl is claiming that the relationship between former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden has completely fallen apart.

Karl, according to Fox News, made the claim during a recent appearance on podcaster Katie Couric's show.

It is not that hard to believe that what Karl says is true, considering what happened during the run-up to the 2024 presidential election.

The inside scoop

According to Karl, Biden and Obama were recently spotted out in public at the same location, yet they did not interact.

Fox reports:

Karl spoke to news personality and podcaster Katie Couric on her show last week about how Obama and Biden were spotted eating at Café Milano one night last month in Washington, D.C., to the point their security details had to make space for each other, yet Obama and his former vice president did not cross paths.

Karl explained, "Biden and the people around him very much blame Barack Obama for the effort to push Biden out of the campaign."

Regarding the restaurant outing, Karl noted, "It's not a good relationship. If they had wanted to see each other, they absolutely would have."

It makes sense.

Background

This, apparently, all stems from the fallout of Biden's 2024 campaign, following his disastrous debate performance.

It remains unclear just how big a role Obama played in Biden's decision to bow out of the race. What is clear, though, is that Obama certainly did not make an effort to keep Biden in the running. In other words, Obama did not have Biden's back when the going got tough.

There have been reports that Biden and his family are holding a grudge against Obama for his treatment of Biden.

The moment captured in the above video especially does not seem to sit well with the Biden people.

Fox reports:

Karl went on to recall Hunter Biden was enraged at seeing Obama take his father by the arm and lead him offstage at a fundraiser last summer, making then-President Biden appear feeble. At the time, Biden was still the presumptive 2024 Democratic nominee, and his allies were largely publicly dismissing concerns about his viability.
