Biden announces new executive order aimed at expanding firearms background checks

Just as President Joe Biden solidifies himself as one of the worst and most ineffective presidents in U.S. history, he tries to change the subject.

According to Breitbart, Biden is attempting to legislate from the White House again with his most recent "gun control" executive order announcement. The EO would take the country "as close as possible" to universal background checks for all firearms purchases.

In a stunningly unconstitutional admission, Biden urged U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to skirt Congress and to take action on the Democrats' fantasy of gun bans and severe limitations, which exclusively target law-abiding American gun owners.

The president was slammed by Republicans this week for even mentioning the asinine EO.

"Without legislation"

Biden openly admitted that he wants to enact as much gun control as he can "without legislation."

His executive order directs AG Garland "to take every lawful action possible to move us as close as we can to universal background checks without legislation.”

"Biden wants to implement restrictions without legislation against law-abiding citizens; is unconstitutional, & violates our 2nd Amendment rights," Texas Republican Rep. Maya Flores tweeted.

Along with renewing his ultimate goal of banning "assault weapons" and "high-capacity magazines," the elderly, confused president called "for an independent government study that analyzes and exposes how gun manufacturers aggressively market firearms to civilians, especially minors."

Breitbart noted:

Ironically, Biden gave his gun control speech in Monterey Park, California. He did not mention that California already has every gun control measure he is pushing nationally, yet the FBI identified California as the number one state for “active shooter incidents” in 2021.

More social media reaction

As one can expect, his EO announcement didn't go over well with law-abiding, gun-owning Americans, who are essentially the only group affected by the Democrats' push for stricter gun control laws, when they refuse to enforce the laws already on the books.

"Biden’s executive order to impose universal background checks without legislation is blatantly unconstitutional. He’s getting increasingly desperate to appease his base since he’s lost almost all independent support," one Twitter user wrote.

It'll be nice to see this EO torn up and trashed, like the rest of the Biden administration's unconstitutional EOs, when a Republican president takes office in 2024.
