Another day in America, and another Biden-appointed official is on the way out of the door.

According to NBC Boston, Rachael Rollins, a U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts appointed by President Joe Biden and confirmed in 2021, resigned her post at the conclusion of a Department of Justice-led ethics investigation into her political dealings.

The Associated Press reported this week that, according to her attorney, Rollins is set to turn in her resignation by the end of Friday.

Her resignation comes amid a number of Biden officials stepping away from their roles.

What happened?

The details surrounding her case clearly raised red flags.

Rollins had been under ethical fire for her appearance at political fundraisers and other "potential ethics issues," the AP reported.

The Associated Press noted of her expected resignation:

The resignation of a U.S. attorney amid ethics concerns is an exceedingly rare phenomenon and is especially notable for a Justice Department that under Attorney General Merrick Garland has sought to restore a sense of normalcy and good governance following the turbulent four years of the Trump administration.

Details of the investigation into Rollins was made public this week, which prompted an immediate resignation from her prominent post.

American Greatness writer Julie Kelly added:

But there's more! She was in cahoots with the media and an unnamed Boston-area law professor to do the DOJs two-step of smearing a political rival.

Horowitz doesn't name the professor but it appears to be...

It's bad

According to several reporters across social media, the Inspector General's (IG) report was nothing less than a bombshell full of ethical issues for Rollins.

Both the DOJ and the IG's offices declined to comment on the turn of events that led to Rollins' resignation.

NBC Boston added that Rollins is also under investigation by the the U.S. Office of Special Counsel for possible Hatch Act violations.
