Biden back to relaxing in Delaware after week of chaos

With a new crisis in the Middle East threatening to destabilize the world, Joe Biden is going on yet another beach vacation.

Biden landed in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on Friday evening, just days after traveling to Israel to show support for the Jewish state in its war with Hamas.

Biden hits the beach...

It is estimated that Biden has spent 40 percent of his time in office not working, and he doesn't seem to be changing pace even as two wars - one in Europe and another in the Arab world - plunge the world into chaos.

As Biden visited Israel on Wednesday, the Middle East was swept with unrest - raising fears of a wider conflict breaking out in the region.

Returning to the White House on Thursday evening, Biden gave a rather sleepy primetime address to the nation in which he pleaded with Congress to approve $100 billion for Israel and Ukraine.

The apparent purpose of the speech was to convince increasingly skeptical Americans of the need to remain engaged in foreign wars. Biden tied Russia's Vladimir Putin to Hamas, the terrorists who attacked Israel, painting the two as common threats to peace, stability, and democracy.

He also reiterated his pledge to defend NATO allies in the event of a Russian attack. A war between America and Russia could trigger World War III.

"We cannot and will not let terrorists like Hamas and tyrants like Putin win.  I refuse to let that happen," he said.

Braggart in chief...

He also took a few moments in the speech to boast about his whirlwind visit to a nation at war.

"You know, earlier this morning, I returned from Israel. They tell me I’m the first American president to travel there during a war," he said.

Biden also gave a cinematic account of his trip to Ukraine earlier this year, air sirens and all. Such heroism!

"And as I walked through Kyiv with President Zelenskyy, with air raid sirens sounding in the distance, I felt something I’ve always believed more strongly than ever before: America is a beacon to the world still."

Biden also told Americans that his very highest priority is getting the American hostages in Gaza home safely.

Hours later, he was heading to Rehoboth Beach for some R and R.
