Remember when leading current and former "intelligence experts" signed a letter promising that the Hunter Biden laptop scandal was nothing more than the latest round of misinformation?

We now know definitively that it was a massive lie, but new reports seem to indicate that the lie was perpetrated by none other than then-Biden campaign adviser Antony Blinken and the Biden campaign.

They were obviously desperate to suppress the story, and it looks as though they used every trick in the book to make it happen.

The bombshell revelations came about in a statement from the House Judiciary Committee, led by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).

What's going on?

In what looks like one of the most humiliating stumbles for the already scandal-plagued White House, the notion that Blinken and the Biden campaign worked hard to cover up the Hunter Biden laptop scandal and, to some degree, pulled it off, is downright scary.

Fifty-one intelligence officials signed the memo, all saying they were sure the laptop story was of Russian origin.

The revelation of Blinken and the Biden campaign as the catalysts of the infamous, fake statement came from testimony from former CIA director Mike Morell.

Morell's testimony

Morell opened up a can of secrets that he probably wasn't supposed to open, admitting that the memo, signed by 51 people that Americans should have been able to trust, was only initiated to help then-candidate Joe Biden win in 2020.

"One intent was to share our concern with the American people that the Russians were playing on this issue; and, two, it was to help Vice President Biden," Morell said.

PJ Media's Matt Margolis noted:

The letter’s usage by Big Tech and the media to discredit and suppress the story was merely the tip of the iceberg. The Biden campaign also cited the letter they orchestrated as proof the laptop was “Russian disinformation” even though they were well aware of the laptop’s authenticity. The connection between these efforts and Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, as well as current Secretary of State Antony Blinken, is incredibly disturbing, as this may very well be one of the most significant instances of legitimate election interference in our nation’s history.

Only time will tell where this situation goes. Thankfully, Jordan and other House Republicans are following through on their promises to get to the bottom of the numerous scandals of the current administration.
