In what has become a trend over the past few years, President Joe Biden has forgotten about or simply ignored a granddaughter, 4-year-old Navy Joan Roberts, born out of wedlock by his son Hunter Biden and a former stripper who lives in Arkansas, Lunden Roberts.

That trend continued on Thursday as President Biden, while speaking with a group of children at the White House, spoke at length of his love for his grandchildren but only mentioned six of them and completely left out the seventh, Navy Joan, according to Fox News.

Biden makes no mention of seventh grandchild during White House event

Thursday was "Take Your Child To Work Day" and the White House celebrated with an event that included the children of his aides and staffers and White House employees, and President Biden spent a great deal of time speaking with and answering questions from the kids.

In response to a question about how many people actually live in the White House, Biden replied that it was just him and the first lady most of the time but noted that they were often visited by his own adult children and their children, who would be his grandkids.

"And then, the best part of it all, I have six grandchildren. And I’m crazy about them. And I speak to them every single day. Not a joke," the president said as he proceeded to try and list off all of their names, though he struggled to recall the names of a couple of them, didn't even bother to name one of his grandsons, and neglected to even mention his youngest granddaughter in Arkansas.

No Christmas stockings at the White House for Navy Joan

The failure to even acknowledge the existence of his illegitimate granddaughter in Arkansas, Navy Joan, is nothing new but rather is a trend that has been plainly evident and documented by some media outlets like Fox News and the New York Post.

The New York Post reported in December 2021 that when first lady Jill Biden decorated the White House for Christmas, she only hung stockings for six grandchildren and excluded Navy Joan, even though Hunter Biden had reached a settlement a year earlier with Roberts and agreed to pay monthly child support after a 2019 DNA test proved that he was the father.

The Post reported that the same thing happened again in November 2022, as Navy Joan was once more excluded from the Christmas stockings for the Biden family grandchildren at the White House.

The outlet noted that per Hunter's own memoir and messages recovered from his abandoned laptop, Roberts had previously been a stripper at a club in Washington D.C. frequented by Hunter and was impregnated by him in 2017.

And though Hunter claimed to not remember her, evidence shows that Roberts was actually employed for a time by Hunter's consulting firm until she was unceremoniously removed from the company's health insurance plan after giving birth to the child, according to the Post.

Why does Biden ignore his seventh grandchild, and why does the media allow it?

In response to the video of President Biden failing to mention his seventh grandchild, among other things he forgot while answering questions from kids, Republican spokesman Zach Parkinson tweeted, "There's only three options here, none of which are good: Biden can't remember how many grandkids he actually has; Biden knows and chooses to actively neglect his own grandchild; Hunter hasn't told him/lied to him about the paternity test."

In a follow-up tweet, he asserted, with attached evidence, "This isn't up for debate either. A 2019 DNA test found that Hunter is the 'biological and legal' father. A 2020 court order found Hunter is the father. The baby's birth certificate lists Hunter as the father."

Parkinson went on to add in additional tweets that the mainstream media was complicit as the "reason this fiction is allowed to persist" -- specifically citing the Associated Press and CBS News as examples -- in how they routinely "actively whitewash this seventh grandchild out of the story" and ignore Hunter's daughter in Arkansas who has never met any other members of her father's side of the family, including her grandparents in the White House or any of her half-siblings or cousins.
