President Joe Biden has invited the Tennesse Three to the White House in a controversial move that is angering many Americans.

The Tennesee Three refer to a group of state Democrats who were involved in storming the State Capitol with protesters to demand gun control. Two of the lawmakers were expelled but later reinstated.

The announcement

"Earlier this month, the president spoke to them by phone after they were subjugated to expulsion votes in the Tennessee state House for peacefully protesting in support of stronger gun safety laws following the shooting at Covenant School in Nashville," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said.

"During that call, the president thanked them for their leadership in seeking to ban assault weapons and standing up for the democratic values," she added.

Not Nashville families?

"President Joe Biden has invited Ralph Yarl, a 16-year-old high school student who was recently shot, to the Oval Office once he recovers from his injuries," according to the Post Millennial.

"The president tweeted Tuesday that he had spoken with Yarl and his family, extending the invitation to meet with him personally. Vice President Kamala Harris also expressed her support and concern for Yarl via Twitter," it added.

The White House press secretary had no answer, however, when asked about an invitation for the families of those killed in the Covenant School shooting in Nashville that led to the calls for gun control from the Tennessee Three.

“I don’t have anything to read out to you about any invite," she responded.

The Covenant School shooting occurred at the hands of 28-year-old Audrey Hale, a former female student who claimed to be transgender.

The odd invitations to some victims and not to others by the Biden administration seem to be sending a bad message about what the White House cares about most when it comes to national issues.

The Tennessee Three broke laws and are being celebrated while the families of the six people who were fatally shot have been left off of the president's invitation list.
