President Joe Biden left Israel Wednesday after a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu supporting his nation's efforts against Hamas.

The trip came shortly after Hamas terror attacks killed over 1,300 Israelis starting Oct. 7.

The message

"I come to Israel with a simple message: You are not alone," Biden said as he delivered remarks in Tel Aviv, according to ABC 7.

"The president compared the atrocities unleashed by Hamas to 9/11, stating Americans understand Israel's demands for justice," it added.

Returning home

"Biden, who left for Tel Aviv on Tuesday night, had planned to meet with Arab leaders in Amman after a visit to Israel in a show of support for the U.S. ally in its war with Hamas," NBC News reported.

"After consulting with King Abdullah II of Jordan and in light of the days of mourning announced by President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority, President Biden will postpone his travel to Jordan and the planned meeting with these two leaders and President Sisi of Egypt," a White House official said in a statement.

Focus on saving hostages

"There's no higher priority than the release and safe return of all these hostages" captured by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, Biden said during his visit.

"Later this week, I'm going to ask the United States Congress for unprecedented support package for Israel's defense. We're going to keep Iron Dome fully supplied to continue standing sentinel over Israeli skies, saving lives," Biden also said.

"We move U.S. military assets to the region, including positioning the USS Ford carrier strike group in the eastern Mediterranean with the USS Eisenhower on the way to deter further aggression Israel and to prevent this conflict from spreading," he continued.

The strong support comes as some Squad lawmakers have joined a ceasefire movement that included a demonstration at the U.S. Capitol Building on Wednesday with several protestors arrested.

Biden's trip was short but communicated America's support during its difficult days with Hamas as it seeks to retaliate and free hostages held in Gaza.
