Biden loses 4 additional border officials in quiet resignations

Four more of President Joe Biden's top border officials have resigned in the past two weeks amid record numbers of illegal immigrants crossing the border, the Epoch Times reported.

The latest to leave is Deputy Homeland Security Secretary John Tien, who served in that position for almost two years and who was called a "co-leader" by DHS head Alexandro Mayorkas when announcing his departure.

Tien served under both former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama; he said he was retiring to spend more time with his family.

FAIR senior spokesman Ira Mehlman said that was a poor excuse, in his opinion, however.

Utter chaos

The explanation “ranks right up there with my dog eating my homework," Mehlman said. “There comes a time when you have to look yourself in the mirror and say I just can’t do this anymore."

Biden's border policies have been utterly chaotic, Mehlman said, and have cost U.S. taxpayers $163 billion during Biden's term in office so far.

It put the number of illegal immigrants living in the U.S. at 16.8 mllion.

“That’s more than the population of 46 out of 50 states,” Texas Congressman Troy Nehls posted on Twitter in response to the FAIR report.

Border problems continue

People all over the U.S. are beginning to report to FAIR that the mass illegal immigration is costing them job and housing opportunities.

And about one-fourth of border workers said in a recent DHS survey that they plan to quit their jobs because of the ever-increasing influx.

Some have reported officials trying to silence them when they speak up as well as other difficult working conditions.

In other news, 18 states are suing the Biden administration over a phone app that allegedly allows illegal immigrants to schedule entry into the U.S.

The lawsuit came as Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz stepped down after testimony to Congress that contradicted Mayorkas's statements that the border is secure.

Mehlman said he's sure the officials who resigned will be replaced with yes men who will continue to do whatever Biden and Mayorkas want on the border. “If you can’t fix it, maybe we can hide it,” said Mehlman, “that seems to be the policy of the Biden administration.”
