Biden mocked after telling Howard Stern he will debate Trump

President Joe Biden's handlers have gone far out of their way to prevent the 81-year-old gaffe machine from entering into a public debate with former President Donald Trump, or anyone else.

In recent days, the idea of a debate between the two has gained some traction after Trump once again challenged Biden last week, which generated a response from the elderly president over the weekend.

According to Fox News, during a surprise interview with shock jock Howard Stern, Biden said he would be "happy" to debate Trump, admitting he wasn't sure when that might be.

Previously, Biden had dodged the possibility of a debate by saying it would depend on Trump's "behavior."

Roundly mocked

Biden, who probably infuriated his handlers during the Stern interview by agreeing to debate Trump, was torched across social media, as many do not believe Biden could last for even a few minutes in a debate with Trump or anybody else.

Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro laughed at the idea of Biden debating Trump, noting that Biden's handlers were presumably not quick enough to stop him from telling Stern he would agree to it.

"I would love to watch biden being unscripted! He will never do it. The libs will create some kind of emergency that will prevent a debate," another X user wrote.

Trump had previously challenged Biden to a debate outside of a Manhattan courthouse and gave him other options, including at one of his many upcoming rallies in key swing states like Michigan.

Trump's challenge

In a Truth Social post, the former president made it clear that he's ready and willing to debate Biden on any terms, any place.

Crooked Joe Biden just announced that he’s willing to debate! Everyone knows he doesn’t really mean it, but in case he does, I say, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, ANYPLACE, an old expression used by Fighters. I suggest Monday Evening, Tuesday Evening, or Wednesday Evening at my Rally in Michigan, a State that he is in the process of destroying with his E.V. Mandate," Trump wrote.

He added, "In the alternative, he’s in New York City today, although probably doesn’t know it, and so am I, stuck in one of the many Court cases that he instigated as ELECTION INTERFERENCE AGAINST A POLITICAL OPPONENT - A CONTINUING WITCH HUNT! It’s the only way he thinks he can win. In fact, let’s do the Debate at the Courthouse tonight - on National Television, I’ll wait around!"

Clearly, Biden's handlers will never let him enter an unplanned debate, but as the pressure builds from all sides, it'll be interesting to see if they eventually come up with a plan to get him on the debate stage.
