President Joe Biden called for accountability against gun manufacturers of "assault weapons."

Biden shared the perspective in a tweet posted on Sunday noting the need to how firearms companies accountable.

The comment

"Gun manufacturers have spent two decades aggressively marketing assault weapons that make them some of the biggest profits," Biden wrote.

"It’s time we ended gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability – we’ve got to hold them accountable," he added.

The problem

"Biden claimed gun makers enjoy immunity from lawsuits during his campaign for the presidency and he continues to repeat that claim now," according to Breitbart News.

"But CNN fact-checked Biden’s ongoing 'immunity' claim last week and pointed out that the law he wants to repeal, the Protection o Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCCA), does not shield gun makers from all lawsuits," it added.

The latest gaffe

"While speaking at a fundraising event in California, Biden suggested that the Second Amendment is useless because the U.S. government could crush Americans, saying they would 'need an F-16' to take it down," Townhall reported.

"I taught it for four years, six years in law school. And guess what? It doesn't say that you can own any weapon you want," Biden claimed. "It says there are certain weapons that you just can't own. Even when it was passed, you couldn't own a cannon. You can't own a machine gun.… No, I'm serious."

The latest mocking of Americans over the Second Amendment has continued to frustrate citizens seeking to legally live according to the nation's constitutional laws.

The president has repeatedly supported efforts against various firearms, such as AR-15s, and even against devices like pistol braces in his efforts to appear like he is doing something to stop crime and make the nation safer.

Instead, his policies have led to the nation being far less safe, with open border policies, rampant inflation and soft-on-crime policies in blue cities that are experiencing increased criminal activity.
