Biden 'outraged' over Gaza hospital explosion, says he'll investigate

 October 18, 2023

President Joe Biden said he was "outraged" over the destruction of a Gaza hospital, claiming he would investigate.

Hamas blamed the blast on Israel, with Israel soon showing evidence that the rocket was fired from within Gaza by a Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist.

Biden's statement

"I am outraged and deeply saddened by the explosion at the Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza, and the terrible loss of life that resulted. Immediately upon hearing this news, I spoke with King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel and have directed my national security team to continue gathering information about what exactly happened," Biden said in his statement.

"The United States stands unequivocally for the protection of civilian life during conflict and we mourn the patients, medical staff and other innocents killed or wounded in this tragedy," he added.

The details

"The explosion, which reportedly killed hundreds of people, sparked outrage, with Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas pulling out of a meeting Wednesday with U.S. President Joe Biden over the issue," Breitbart News reported.

"Biden has backed Israel’s war of self-defense against the Hamas terror group, which rules Gaza and which killed over 1,400 Israelis in a massive terror attack on October 7," it added.

The evidence

"From the analysis of the operational systems of the IDF, an enemy rocket barrage was carried out towards Israel, which passed through the vicinity of the hospital when it was hit," Israel shared.

"According to intelligence information, from several sources we have, the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization is responsible for the failed shooting that hit the hospital," the report continued.

The reports come as Biden is in Israel on Wednesday to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The people of Israel have faced terrible attacks in recent days and now seek to retaliate to defend their land and people from Hamas following the terrorist actions.
