Biden spotted in back row of world leaders in APEC 'family photo'

Not that it should come as a great surprise at this point in time, but President Joe Biden, who has stayed in the shadows in recent months, was humiliated on the world stage, once again.

According to Fox News, at the recently held Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference, Biden was relegated to the back row for the traditional "family" APEC photo.

This year, the APEC summit was held in Lima, Peru.

Peruvian president Dina Boluarte and Chinese Premier Xi Jinping were placed in the front center of the picture, flanked by other world leaders, as the United States president was barely visible in the back row.

What happened?

Biden reportedly met with a number of world leaders during the summit, including President Boluarte and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.

Notably, last year, Biden was front and center in the same photo. The 2023 summit was held in San Fransisco. He was flanked by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Jinping in that photo.

Fox News noted:

In 2017, former President Trump stood towards the front-center of that year's APEC family photo, along with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

It's unclear how the world leaders are chosen for placement in the photo, but it makes sense that Biden, who has been away from the cameras and world stage in recent months, would be in the back row.

Users across social media ridiculed the photo op, which many believe was embarrassing for the United States -- nothing new for the Biden administration.

Social media reacts

Many on social media weighed in on the difference between Trump and Biden on the world stage, and how many of the wolrd leaders in the photo only respect strength and intimidation.

"Pple sometimes complain about DJT being too bold and forthright, but this is the crew he has to deal with, they only respect strength and intimidation," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "I don't like Biden but I hate to see the United States get humiliated like that."

One can only imagine what Trump would have done if they tried to place him in the back row of the photo. That'll never happen.
